Chop Shop is a Decepticon from Cyberworld.
Oh no, the game's full of bugs!

A chittering, skittering scavenger, Chop Shop aimlessly wanders the biomes of the Cyberworld in a single- and simple-minded search for whatever energon he can get his mandibles on. Seemingly uninterested in the Autobot/Decepticon conflict, he'll happily follow whoever seems the most likely to lead him to his next meal, whether they want him to or not... and they usually don't. He's kinda creepy.

This fixation on fuel seems to leave him vulnerable to the Cyberworld's many traps and hazards, but do NOT be fooled: Chop Shop should only be trusted as far as Megatron can throw Scorponok. Chop Shop is a backstabbing liar who will gladly leave you to melt in a temple overflowing with lava. Additionally, he might be part robo-roach, because for all the abuse he takes, he just keeps going, a bug that is genuinely hard to squash.

Chop Shop stumbled into a face-off between Megatron and a group of Autobots while seeking energon in the jungle biome. After momentarily noticing the crowd, he quickly ignored them and wandered off... right into an opening game zone, leaving the others to follow.

Megatron reluctantly recruited Chop Shop onto his team, as it was a three-versus-three race to the top of a series of floating platforms. Despite being hit by various traps, Chop Shop still made it to the top alongside his teammate Mirage, netting him the energon he craved once Megatron joined them and won the game. With the game over, Chop Shop wandered off alongside his apparent new boss. What Goes Up

Oh-ooh-oh, it's Bugsnax!
  • Chop Shop (Armored Cyber Changer, 2025)
  • Environment: Desert
  • Accessories: Hammer/cannon gearbox weapon, left & right wing/pincer blades, mandibles
Released in the second wave of Cyberworld Armored Cyber Changers, Chop Shop transforms from 4-inch tall robot mode to a stag beetle. His transformation is mostly automatic, with his whole torso compressing in one motion as his chest is flipped up, drawing in his arms and shifting the backpack down to meet his calves. His insect-mode mandibles are a separate removable piece that can be used as a hand-held weapon or attached to other toys via 5 mm post. Like other Cyber Changers, the toy has limited articulation, but the standardized size and articulation makes him compatible with other larger toys in the line.
His primary weapon (and the thing that bumps the price tag up) is a large hammer-like thing with a geared handle. Pulling the handle down extends a sword-blade from the top part of the hammer, turning it into an awkwardly bulky sword thanks to a 5 mm post on the end of the handle. This mechanism also rotates a pair of 5 mm sockets on the side of the hammer, which when used with his two removable angled blades, causes them to swing open and snap shut in a 180-degree arc when the handle/blade is extended and compressed, respectively. The whole assembly also has one more 5 mm post on the flip side of the hammer from the spinners, letting it be positioned as a large cannon, with the handle forming the cannon barrel (though he cannot hold it in his hand this way, as his wrist-mounted bug-legs get in the way).
The cardback photos show him with his bug-legs and mandibles a darker shade of light-green than the very light green of the final toy.
The hammer/sword/gun accessory was redecoed and packed in with Airachnid, who shares Chop Shop's engineering/transformation.
