Covert Vampiric Operations
Covert Vampiric Operations or CVO is a top-secret organization of humans, vampires, zombies, and assorted other beings that defends Earth against magical forces. They use a combination of guns and magical technology known as Artillica to fight supernatural forces, though mostly they seem to find themselves up against zombies. Their base is called CVO Coffin HQ.

[edit]Responding to a horde of zombies pouring through an inter-dimensional portal, CVO sent a team consisting of Cross, Bools, Benny, and Britt to the Kirtland complex to shut the gate down. Unfortunately Benny was possessed by the Undermind, the zombie hive mind, and bit Britt, turning her into a vampire/zombie hybrid. Britt's essence was split and sent to four disparate universes. Infestation #1 Part of her ended up in a universe with Transformers where it was banished to the Dead Universe. The Transformers: Infestation #1 Coffin HQ was also invaded by zombies, but Cross's team got back in time to help. While Cross and Bools went to protect the President, Benny worked on helping Britt, only for her to revive and attempt to bring the Undermind proper to their world. Cross had Benny bite him to turn him into a zombie/vampire hybrid as well, and subsequently rewrote the laws of magic, destroying the Undermind. Infestation #2 Sometime later, the CVO faced an invasion of Elder Gods, and split their forces to deal with incursions worldwide. The invading forces latched on to the Artillica in Cross's heart, using it to invade multiple universes. Infestation 2 #1 Thanks to the assistance of Oblivion, the Elder Gods' portal was closed and all members of CVO managed to survive the incident. Infestation 2 #2
