Emusa

Emusa is an alien from the Zone portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Iiiii seeeee yoooou.

Emusa (エムサ) is an extraterrestrial animal that resembles a pink raccoon-tailed rabbit with small wings. Despite their size in proportion to his (?) body, these wings allow Emusa to fly. He is also capable of speech and of compacting into a smaller, more puffball-esque shape, apparently by wrapping his tail around himself.

He acts as a pet to the humanoid alien Cain. His species may (or may not) have been native to Cain's planet of Feminia; if it was native, then its status following Feminia's obliteration doesn't look too good.

Emusa was present with Cain when planet Feminia was attacked by the Demon Generals Abominus, Overlord, and Menasor. The Generals actually flew over them during their assault, and the wake of their destruction sent the pair flying. Soon the entire planet was suffering upheavals, and Emusa could only flap nearby as Cain held on to an upended patch of grass that was slowly sinking into a raging inferno.

It's like Bright Heart Raccoon had a one-night stand with a cabbit.

Thankfully, the pair were saved by Victory Saber, who handed them up to Holi aboard the overhead Galaxy Shuttle. While they were able to evacuate to outer space, Victory Saber was not so lucky, and Emusa watched as Cain grew angry over the apparent destruction of both his planet and his savior.

Presumably having no where else to go, Emusa and Cain went to live on planet Zone, a machine-world populated primarily by Micromasters. This caused Emusa much annoyance; he complained that there wasn't a single flower on the entire planet! He then wondered if this made their companion Moonradar lonely, too, and Moonradar's statement to the negative sent Emusa into a rant, saying that as a living creature, he wanted to be around flowers and nature, not metal. Moonradar then pointed out that Transformers were living creatures, too, and Cain scolded Emusa for his comments, which the chastised Emusa could only weakly protest to.

Following an invasion of Zone by the Demon Generals, Emusa went with Cain aboard the Galaxy Rocket in an attempt to get Zone's Energon Z back. The ship was snared by BlackZarak in an electric net in an attempt to destroy them, sending shocks to everyone aboard, but they were soon rescued by the Jet Patrol Team and on their way to the Generals' next target: Earth!

Cain and Emusa next greeted Akira when he was brought aboard the Galaxy Rocket by Whisper. The pair told Akira how impressed they were by Earth's beauty, with the gleeful Emusa hopping up and down on Cain's shoulder, elated by the abundance of nature. With Cain and Akira, Emusa witnessed the arrival of the Powered Masters Dai Atlas and Sonic Bomber, saw Akira's subsequent shocked reaction that the Generals were after the Zodiac, and Dai Atlas' use of same to allow himself and Sonic Bomber to enter "Zone Mode".

Tiny pink powder puff.

After the defeat of the Generals, the heroes gathered and discussed the nature of the Zodiac, and Emusa invited Akira to come to Zone with them. Akira agreed, and presented the pair with a flower from his backpack; Emusa swooned and called it beautiful.

Returning to Zone, a ceremony was held to appoint Dai Atlas as the new Supreme Commander of the Autobots. The flying Emusa struggled to bring Dai Atlas a huge bouquet of Earth flowers, but lost his grip on it, sending the petals raining down on the laughing boys and nearby Autobots as the crowd cheered on Dai Atlas's name. Enter the New Supreme Commander, Dai Atlas!

Later, Cain, Akira, and Emusa were present on the Earth's moon when Metrotitan attacked the "Zone City" stationed there in defense of the planet. As Metrotitan obliterated both the base and Galaxy Shuttle, the three escaped the destruction in Rabbicrater. Zone #8 Returning to Earth, the three felt the effects of Metrotitan's new weapon, the "Freeze Beam Gun". Roadfire made short work of Metrotitan, ending this threat. Zone #9

Violengiguar himself then came to Earth, intent on stealing the Zodiac. He plowed through the Powered Masters to grab the Galaxy Rocket, both obtaining the Zodiac and abducting Emusa, Cain, Akira and Moonradar in the process. Zone #10 The Powered Masters followed Violengiguar to the mysterious "Tenth Planet", where Violengiguar split into three insect monsters. Roadfire defended the Galaxy Rocket from Lenger, saving the captives inside. Zone #11

After the Powered Masters defeated Violengiguar's final form with their Zodiac-fueled Rainbow Powered Attack (... no, really), sunlight returned to the Tenth Planet. The Zodiac rainbow remained in the sky, causing the world to sprout greenery and flowers. Though Cain, Akira, Emusa, and the Transformers all came from different worlds, they realized they'd need all their strength and each other's help to make this new world a peaceful one. As Cain and Akira ran through a field of flowers together, holding each other's hands, Emusa placed one in Akira's hair. Zone #12

Hold me, thrill me, kiss me, kill me.

Along with Cain, Emusa was a survivor of the planet Feminia, which had been destroyed by Decepticons. They both ended up on planet Zone.

One day, Emusa and Cain were riding around in Moonradar on the surface of Zone, passing by Glasspit's Gasoline Base as they went. Unfortunately for them, Violengiguar's Generals Abominus, Bruticus, Menasor, and Overlord picked that moment to attack; having already stolen the planet's special Energon Z, they decided to take advantage of Star Saber's absence and cause havoc on the world. Emusa and Cain were shot at while riding, so Moonradar made tracks to the Rocket Base, which transformed to retaliate.

The Generals fled, taking the Energon Z with them. Emusa and Cain accompanied Moonradar, the Super Car Patrol Team and the Battle Patrol Team aboard the Galaxy Rocket, which chased after the Generals until it was cocooned up in mid-space by BlackZarak. Fortunately, they were all rescued by the Jet Patrol Team, and continued on their way to Earth.

Arriving on Earth, the rocket's manipulator claw saved the young, flower-picking Akira from the path of Predaking and brought him aboard, where Emusa and Cain greeted him. After the rocket landed and transformed into a mini-base, Akira, Cain and Emusa cheered on the Battle Patrol Team and the Super Car Patrol Team as they drove to attack Generals Devastator, Predaking and Trypticon (although this went really REALLY badly).

After all the fighting was over, Emusa sat on Cain's shoulder and winked at Akira, who, having been invited to Zone, had put some flowers into a little vase for a gift. Zone

Notes

[edit]
  • In early online anglophone fandom, Emusa was known by the simple epithet of "Zone Bunny" due to the difficulty in acquiring translated sources.
