Gaasuu Kurobikari Science Laboratory

The Gaasuu Kurobikari Science Laboratory (ガースー黒光り科学研究所 Gāsū Kurobikari Kagakukenkyūjo, abbreviated GKSL) is a place where science happens! Mainly, the science of pain and embarrassment.

Its staff includes the Headmasters Donarimasu and Guchirimasu, who are forced to share the Lab's sole Transtector, Giant Fujiwara.

The Giant Fujiwara toy in this set has numerous "Gaasuu Kurobikari Science Laboratory" brandings on it, including the logo on the forehead of the "big head mode", and on the robot-mode chest... though the grill for the sound gimmick makes it nigh-illegible.

This set was a special mail-away offer available with purchase of the 2017 DVD/Blu-Ray of the [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!!|{{#if:||Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!!}}]] "24 Hours No Laughing Doctor of Science" special, which the set's deco is based on. Orders had to be sent in by January 31 2018, and the set was mailed out in July that year.

• The GKSL was the setting for the 2016 Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!! (Downtown's We're Not Errand Boys!!) "24 Hours No Laughing Doctor of Science" special, one of the long-running variety show's annual year-ending "batsu (punishment) games". (Other years have other themes, like "Hotel Employee" and "Hospital".) In these games, comedians [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Masatoshi Hamada|{{#if:||Masatoshi Hamada}}]] (who Donarimasu is based on), [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Hitoshi Matsumoto|{{#if:||Hitoshi Matsumoto}}]] (Guchirimasu's base) and other regular performers on the show spend 24 hours enduring a vast number of bizarre challenges, witnessing comic events and weird situations, and suffering numerous humiliations. If any one of them is caught laughing, they are very promplty whacked on the butt, usually with rubber batons, but occasionally... other means are used. Naturally, this happens with incredible frequency.
• "Gaasuu Kurobikari" is part of a long-running gag on Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!!. It's name-dropped a lot throughout the series, and is poking fun at the show's chief producer (and frequent "performer") Kenji Suga. "Gaasuu" is Suga's surname flipped, and "kurobikari" means "black luster", a jab at his darker-than-usual skin tone and somewhat oily complexion.
