KÅken

The Kōken (光剣, "Light Sword") is one of Raiden's weapons, a broadsword where the blade is made of energy particles. While reliable in the hands of the strong Raiden, the taciturn Seizan sometimes uses it to clear a path for the other Trainbots.

[edit]When Megazarak landed on Mars to distract the Autobots before they could stop his plans to blow up the planet, Raiden activated Kōken and attempted to take a swing on the gigantic Transformer. He was zapped by Megazarak before he could do so. Explosion on Mars!! MegaZarak Appears
Transformers Go! Go!
[edit]When Megatron's giant fortress-turned-battle mech shattered his Light Sword, Raiden quick-drew Kōken and relieved the giant of its limbs with style. After the battle was won, Raiden rested his hands on the blade as he took in the splendor of the liberated Mount Fuji to the cheers of grateful humans. Shushupopo!! part 2

- MPG Trainbot Seizan comes with the Kōken, a translucent blue sword based on its appearance in the Headmasters cartoon. It can be handled by the Trainbot's combined form, Raiden, or any of the individual components in their robot modes.

[edit]- The Kōken exists simultaneously with the "Light Sword", another cartoon-original weapon used by Raiden in "Head On!! Fortress Maximus". Whether this means some wires were crossed during production of The Headmasters is unclear.
