[edit]The Decepticons had hollowed out a two hundred-square mile underground cavern beneath the Kalahari Desert, which they used as a temporary base of operations. Soundwave didn't like it, as the desert's sand kept penetrating his cassette drives and disrupting signals, but Megatron threw the usual verbal abuse his way to get him back to work. However, because the sand díd burden the Decepticons' stay there, Megatron released a rumor about wealth waiting to be found in the Kalahari Desert. The humans that came looki for it were captured and put to work in the cavern as slaves. Their task was to fill up every nook and cranny of the cavern with a little over four hundred billion cubic yards of coal, which the Decepticons delivered to them. When they were done, Megatron had the cave sealed off with both the coal and slaves inside and blew it all up with lectonite charges, thus creating the perfect diamond for Megatron's plan to obtain massive amounts of oil.
