- Lune is a Beast Person from the Precursor World portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Lune (ルネ Rune) is a friendly native of the Blue Planet. She's more than happy to explain her universe's peculiarities to foreign visitors and has an unfortunate penchant for being dragged into the drama of the Primus Vanguard.

[edit]Precursor World
[edit]
Lune and a companion had the misfortune to happen upon the duel of interdimensional visitors Star Convoy and Super Megatron. Super Megatron took them hostage and threatened to eat them if Star Convoy did not hand over his Silver Matrix. When Star acceeded, Megatron released them and the duo scrambled for cover as Star Convoy shielded them from the assault of Ultra Megatron with his body. Super Megatron comic 1
Just as Star Convoy reached the end of his rope, the trio were rescued by the timely arrival of commander Blue Big Convoy and his Blue Order, the local Primus Vanguard contingent! Super Megatron comic 2
At last safe after the further upgraded Ultra Megatron Omega and the traitorous Straxus twins wandered off in search of further booty after decimating the Blue Corps, Lune reacted with dismay to the news from Vanguard supreme leader Primus that her entire universe was being raided by space pirates from Star Convoy's dimension. As the others watched chaos unfold across the Precursor World, Star Convoy took advantage of the break in the action to quietly take Lune aside and ask who the heck any of these people were. Lune explained that the robotic beings of her world were the Primus Vanguard, defenders of her race, the Beast People, and all other life in their universe. Star Convoy thanked her and introduced himself as "Commander Convoy," giving her a much needed laugh. Explaining that he had just introduced himself as "Commander Commander" in her language, she introduced herself in turn and thanked him for saving her from Megatron. God Neptune comic 1
Lune and Star's respite did not last long as earthquakes began to rip the Blue Planet apart. As Primus's pet-turned-mad-scientist Primacron transformed her home into the colossal death machine Neo Primus, Star Convoy attempted to shield Lune with his body as the giant began rocketing toward the Primus Vanguard's conflict with (the upgraded again) Megatron Omega and the pirates' combined form God Neptune out in space. Star's unlikely ally Turtler took on the task of evacuating Lune and the other Beast People as Star Convoy turned his attention to the conflict at hand. Finale Prelude
In the final battle royale for the fate of her universe, Lune's planet was eventually restored to normal when the heroic efforts of Star Convoy's ally Volcanicus defeated Primacron and his giant. Lune was dismayed to discover they weren't out of the woods yet as she found her newfound protectors under assault from twisted doppelgangers of the Primus Vanguard created by (the, you guessed it, upgraded again) Gold Megatron. As Scramble 7 and a now-heroic God Neptune held off the villains, Lune cautioned the injured pirate Scylla not to overexert herself trying to re-enter the fray. Finale
Notes
[edit]- Lune is named after the sister of the Beastformer commander White Leo, White Lune. She is, in turn, named after Lune from [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Kimba the White Lion|{{#if:Jungle Emperor|Jungle Emperor|Kimba the White Lion}}]], son of the main character, Leo. It's white lions all the way down.
- Speaking of White Leo, Lune's companion in her first appearance bears a noticeable resemblance to the Beastformer commander.
- Super Megatron's threat to eat Lune and co. is an homage to Super Megatron's bizarre attempt to eat a human in the original Battlestars comic.
- While we can't say for certain, the fact that Star Convoy and co. vanquished Megatron's New Primus Vanguard in short order after Lune's last appearance probably means she and her fellow Beast People made it out alright.
