Transformers: MechTech Wars is an online :}}Adobe Flash| game for the Dark of the Moon franchise. The game was created to promote the Dark of the Moon toyline in Japan.

The game is an infinite combat simulator where you can play as the Autobots and the Decepticons by using the character card and an accompanying transparent plastic card of the Mechtech Weapons that comes with the Darkside Moon figures. Due to the character cards that must be used to play the game containing informations about the toys that the figures comes packaged with, the playable characters and their alternate versions are toy-accurate.

Gameplay

[edit]

The back of the cards include two passwords, one for the toy-based character and one for the MechTech Weapon that comes with to input on the game to play as the version of the character and the MechTech Weapons that the player selected to play with.

You move your aim from left to right with your mouse and press the arrow keys to shoot at the moving targets, each arrow key does the same function: shoot, but all the arrows and the targets have different colors, and the shot that hit the target must have the same color of the target you want to hit.

There are four colors for the arrow shots and targets: Blue, Orange, Purple and Green. If you shoot at the target with the correct shot, you accumulate power for your moves, if you shoot at the target with the wrong shot, all the power you've accumulated will be used to make one of the moves, examples: if you shoot at a Blue target with a Blue shot, you accumulate power for the character to attack the opponent with the Primary MechTech Weapon, but if you shoot at a Blue target with an Orange shot, the character will use all the power you've accumulated to attack with the secondary MechTech Weapon.

There are four moves the character can do depending on the targets:

 • Blue target: attack with the primary MechTech Weapon.
 • Orange target: attack with the secondary MechTech Weapon.
 • Purple target: use the character's Special Ability.
 • Green target: let your opponent attack you.

Once the move is executed, the arrows' shots change color. For example: the left arrow is for a blue shot but after a move is executed, it changes to an orange shot. So pay much attention for that.

For each move that you execute, you receive points to your score. So if you want some competition, go ahead and try your best.

Once the opponent's life bar reaches zero, you win and goes to the next round to fight against another opponent to keep gaining more points for your score. But if your life bar reaches zero, game over and you'll have to start all over again.

Notes

[edit]
 • All Japanese Cyberverse (CV) & Human Alliance figures' MechTech Cards have only one password, which is for the toy-version of the character that the MechTech Card comes packaged with, since they don't come with any MechTech Weapons. Also you can't play with the characters that are Human Alliance basic figures, since they are the only toys that don't have MechTech Cards.
 • The back of some cards also have a :}}QR code| which can be scanned by a :}}cellphone|, allowing to obtain virtual characters or items in Transformers: The Live. While inputting the passwords located on the back does the same on PC.
 • the Mechtech cards also has Colorbit Codes, located on the front, the left is for the Primary MechTech Weapon, the lower left is for the secondary MechTech Weapon, and the bottom middle is for the toy version of the character that the toy comes packaged with. By sliding the cards you want to use inside the Mechtech Holder that comes with Bumblebee and connecting it onto a B-Ta Ichi-Go coin-op available at any toy stores and toy departments, you can also play the game from there.
