RoboPara

RoboPara (ろぼぱら) is a manga franchise created by Chromedome and his Partner Drone Moguru. Initially a handmade :}}dōjin| produced in their spare time, its popularity grew both in its dimension of origin, the Legends World, and elsewhere.

RoboPara's principal character is DoriPara (どりぱら), a :}}Moe (slang)| robot idol. N-no, she's not based on Chromedome's old crush Arcee; why would you even suggest that? She's a completely original character. Arcee didn't have drills for pigtails. (Moguru's contribution to the design, we assume).

Living in the comparatively peaceful Legends World, Chromedome needed to channel his endless energy into a hobby. With Moguru's encouragement, Chromedome taught himself illustration outside his work hours at Autobot Axalon Trading Company. In reality, Moguru was a mole for Weirdwolf, who wanted Chromedome to adopt a peaceful lifestyle in order to lose his fighting spirit. RoboPara was the result of multiple late nights working through until the morning. Its main character was partially based on Arcee, the genial great aunt of one of Chromedome's co-workers.

The first RoboPara dōjin returned from the printing company about a week after Chromedome finished it. The same day, Rhinox provided Chromedome with his new transtector, which the aspiring mangaka immediately decided was perfect for transporting his stock to conventions. On the day of such an event, Weirdwolf attacked the city, and Moguru tried to dissuade Chromedome from getting involved. However, Chromedome refused to ignore his warrior nature and he drove off to fight Weirdwolf, leaving Moguru to man their stall. Defeated, Weirdwolf asked why Moguru betrayed him, but Moguru responded that he worked on the dōjin, too. Moguru only sold two copies, but he and Chromedome were undeterred, and planned to sell out at their next event. LG32 Chromedome

Some time later, Chromedome had made enough money from RoboPara that he could afford to quit his job at Autobot Axalon and go pro. It was during this time that he was approached by Star Saber, Daniel, and Sixshot, who were on the run from the Universal Peace Alliance following a prison break. Chromedome initially refused to help Sixshot, who had murdered his friends Abel and Jack, but decided to do the right thing and allow them all to stay, on the caveat that they would become his live-in art assistants. Sixshot had no comprehension of moe manga, but admitted that Chromedome must have touched many peoples' hearts with his artwork. Chromedome then became flustered when Sixshot compared DoriPara to Arcee, who Daniel confirmed was his former crush.

The embarrassing situation was cut short by the arrival of Universal Peace Alliance enforcers, and in the subsequent battle, Sixshot faked his own death and went into hiding. When he resurfaced, he came across and bought an issue of Shōnen Junkion with DoriPara on the front. Reading the manga inside and remembering the brief moment of peace he had when working on it, he was inspired to approach Giga about the Legends World's spirit energy and the possibility of reviving Abel and Jack. After the Legends World was destroyed, its denizens were relocated to the G1 World, where they shared much of their culture and technological advancements with Cybertron and Earth. By 2039, many of the Legends World's Transformer visitors' dreams had come true; Blaster's music was topping the charts, Weirdwolf ran a successful zoo, and RoboPara was to receive an anime adaptation.

After the Legends World was revived, Megatron received a new body in a plaza where a visible billboard displayed what appeared to be a human girl dressed up as DoriPara. "Epiloge"

 • RoboPara is a reference to TakaraTomy's enormous rhythm game/dress-'em-up franchise :}}PriPara|. DoriPara's heavily ribbon- and frill-based design is patterned after series protagonist Laala Manaka and her Twinkle Ribbon style. Instead of Laala's twin pigtails, DoriPara has a pair of drills, which is presumably where the "Dori" part of her name comes from as Japanese renders "drill" as "doriru".
 • The human girl in "Epiloge" might actually be Laala, but the artwork is too small and obscured by Megatron to be sure.
 • Shōnen Junkion is a parody of long-running manga magazine :}}Weekly Shōnen Jump|.
