Rona Simpson is an editor at Titan Comics who took over the Transformers magazine from Steve White, editing it from issue 3.1 to issue 4.11 and then, after a period by Mark McKenzie-Ray, from issue 4.16 to the end.

Simpson started as an assistant editor for Redan Publishing and moved her way up to being a staff editor, and later freelance editor and writer, at Titan. Among the other magazines Simpson has worked on at Titan include Indiana Jones, The Simpsons, Wallace and Gromit, Batman Legends, and Star Wars Rebels.

It's almost certainly Simpson who responded to a reader in issue 3.4 to admit that their "hands are tied" by toy sales and couldn't show the female characters as much as they'd like to.
