Optimus Prime and Crosshairs are lounging in vehicle mode at a truck stop, when they overhear a news report that a large, metallic beast has been terrorizing the nearby town of Cullum. Prime fears he knows what the creature is, and the two head straight for the town. On arriving, Optimus locates paw prints with an energon trace, but the Autobots get all the confirmation they need when a turbofox suddenly appears. Prime speculates that Lockdown might be on Earth, knowing that the bounty hunter has used them in the past, whilst Crosshairs is paralysed with fear. The turbofox, thirsty for energon, attacks Optimus, but Crosshairs begins to flee, forcing the Autobot leader to fall back too. When questioned about his behaviour, the Autobot soldier reveals that he has a history with turbofoxes...
Many years ago, Crosshairs leads a small group of Autobots. He scouts ahead to a vantage point, but turns back to see turbofoxes surrounding his men! Gripped with terror, by the time Crosshairs got back, he was too late to prevent the creature from killing all his troops.
Crosshairs finishes telling his story, and Optimus Prime reassures him that the tragedy was not his fault, and that he should use his fear to focus himself. The come over a rise to see a hole in the ground. The turbofox has dug underground, Crosshairs realises, and sure enough, it bursts out for a surprise attack moments later. Optimus lands a punch, but a panicked Crosshairs misses his shots and is floored by the beast. Prime slices off the turbofox's tail, but without Crosshairs's help, the Autobot leader is quickly overwhelmed...
Even as the screams of his dying comrades echo in his mind, Crosshairs finds his resolve. Refusing to let history repeat itself, he clocks the turbofox on the head with Optimus's broken sword hilt, before hitting it dead centre with both blasters. With the beast defeated, the Autobots retreat as human emergency services approach.
As the two Autobots listen to another news report, on the mysterious defeat of Cullum's monster, Crosshairs thanks Optimus for his earlier advice. As Prime voices his hope the humanity can likewise see past its blind fear of the Transformers, Crosshairs round out the day with some dreadful dog puns...

There is no mention of a next issue, with the back page normally reserved for such information simply featuring a montage of stock images with the title "Roll Out!"
Subscribers got a letter with their comic confirming that this would be the last issue.
