Swindle may buy and sell an arsenal's worth of weapons in a day, but he keeps an occasional piece of merchandise for himself. His scatter blaster fires a wide spray of explosive buckshot—perfect for keeping away dissatisfied customers.

In both jeep and robot modes Swindle was armed with two weapons: a scatter blaster that shot bursts of explosive buckshot-type pellets over a wide area, and a gyro-gun. Swindle's Universe profile

Within the human video game Multi-World alongside Brawl, Swindle used his scatter-blaster to attack Streetwise and First Aid in the "Vineland" area of the game. The scatter-blaster's wanton destruction led to the area's vine creatures turning against the Combaticons, allowing the two Protectobots to take them out of the game. Afterdeath!

Dreamwave Generation One continuity

2005 IDW continuity

Scatter blasters were among the weapons invented by Brainstorm and kept in his workshop on the Lost Light. Trailcutter found some while searching the workshop for a remote control, but mistakenly called them "shatter blasters". The Reluctant Specialist

A popular short-range weapon during the Great War, the Scatter Blaster was commonly carried by Scout and Scientist class Transformers. Starscream, Skywarp, Breakdown, Ironhide, and Air Raid all favored this weapon. Surprisingly it is full auto. Transformers: War for Cybertron

This weapon has the following base in-game stats:
  • Damage: 7
  • Range: 3
  • Accuracy: 4
  • Rate of Fire: 5

Fall of Cybertron

They were still in use later in the war, as the Autobots readied the Ark for launch. At this point, the weapon was favoured by Jazz and Starscream, but not, surprisingly, Swindle. Transformers: Fall of Cybertron


This weapon has the following base in-game stats:
  • Damage: 9
  • Range: 4
  • Accuracy: 5
  • Rate of Fire: 8
  • This weapon can be modified in multiplayer/escalation with the following upgrades:
    • Ion Cartridge - Increases the amount of ammo within a clip
    • Hyper Interlink - Speeds up reload time
    • Quantum Stabilizer - Completely eliminates recoil
    • Fireblast - Bullets do less damage but set enemies on fire dealing more damage over time

  • Swindle's scatter blaster is fed with buckshots, which presumably work like real-life buckshots—a type of shotgun shell.
