Skipjack is a Decepticon Constructicon from the Animated continuity family.

Skipjack is the result of Dirt Boss's foray into the business of cloning. Though the process resulted in a loyal goon for the Constructicon leader, he was disappointed that Skipjack was even shorter than himself!

Upon hearing that all Decepticon big-boss types dealt in cloning, Dirt Boss hired Lockdown to procure him some Autobot CNA. The process was successful, and the dim-but-tough Skipjack joined the ranks of the Constructicons. Skipjack's profile

Notes

[edit]
  • Skipjack was cloned from Erector, and thus shares a body-type with him.
  • Had the fourth season come to pass, Skipjack was not planned to be a component of Devastator.<ref>Derrick J. Wyatt about Skipjack and Devastator on Twitter, 21 December 2019.</ref> This, of course, is because—like a great many of the original Animated characters seen in the Almanacs and other post-cartoon media—he would never have actually been in the show; he was only created for 2015's Complete AllSpark Almanac, as a recolour of Erector, who was in turn only created in 2011 as a joke for the character's Transformers Hall of Fame video. Fittingly, Skipjack's color scheme is taken directly from a point in that video where it was facetiously stated that Erector was to have joined the Constructicons in forming Devastator, with Erector said to form "the pants." Skipjack uses the Constucticon colors that Erector was briefly shown to have in this part of the video.
