Soltron
- Soltron is a god from the Generation 1 continuity family.
The ancient legends of Menonia speak of Soltron, but only in hushed whispers. A cruel god of the sun, Soltron's way is fire and flame, and the subjugation of all those he sees as weak. While his blood is said to be the life of Menonia itself, no good will come of worshipping him, for Soltron will poison any who dare with whispers of glory, gradually hollowing them out and turning them into an avatar for his godly power. Fortunately, he's just a myth, right?

[edit]King Grimlock
[edit]Many centuries past, Soltron was summoned from his home in Menonia's sun by the Golden One to help him save Menonia, alongside the Autobot leader Optimus Prime. In the aftermath, Soltron took possession of the Golden One, crushing the once-benevolent mage's will and turning him into a mere puppet for Soltron's whims, kept alive only by Soltron's power. Grimlock and the Sorcerer Taking the Autobot insignia as his standard, Soltron had the Golden One form a cult dedicated to his worship, and the conquest of Menonia, opposed only by the Red Wizard. Grimlock the Rebel Grimlock the Avenger Eventually, a band of rebels attempted to summon Optimus Prime once more, but only managed to summon Grimlock instead. Witnessing this via his magic, Soltron was amused, for Optimus might have been able to successfully rally the rebels, but he was confident the brutish Dinobot never would. Grimlock the Rebel
However, just to hedge his bets, Soltron sent a band of cyclopses to kill the Dinobot anyway. They failed, and on return to the Golden One's citadel their leader was incinerated. His servant Clatta inquired as to whether he was concerned if the Dinobot's motives had changed, but Soltron wasn't bothered, figuring that if Grimlock took offense at the Red Wizard's deeds and fought him, it would only serve his ends. Standing on the balcony of his castle, Soltron assured Clatta that while an Autobot would never stand for what the Golden One's forces had committed in his name, the more unstable Grimlock would only disappoint any Menonian who put their faith in him. Grimlock the Defender His prediction soon proved true when the warrior Arko, disgusted with Grimlock and what she perceived as his weakness, came to the Golden One's citadel to serve him. Arko predicted that Grimlock, true to his nature, would arrive at the Golden One's citadel to fight him alone. As Grimlock cut through his various minions, the rebels used their magic to create an eclipse, hoping to cut the connection between Soltron and his vessel. However, this did little to slow him down, and the Golden One confronted Grimlock directly in his draconic form, only for the Dinobot to seize him and demand Soltron show himself. The arrogant god refused to show his true face to one he considered beneath himself, continuing to puppeteer the Golden One's body as he sneered at his opponent for challenging him. However, Soltron underestimated his victim, and the Golden One used the last of his power to separate the two, at the cost of his own life. Undeterred, Soltron simply approached the watching Arko, quickly turning her with promises of power. Grimlock and the Sorcerer Now in the young woman's body, Soltron attacked Grimlock again, taunting the Dinobot for what he saw as his weakness. Grimlock then gave Soltron an offer to abandon Arko's body, in favor of his own. A universe would be his, and in return all Soltron would have to do was vow never to return to Menonia. Amused, Soltron agreed, and leapt from Arko's body to Grimlock's. Inside Grimlock's Spark, the two beings battled for control. However, Soltron's arrogance proved his downfall, and Grimlock overwhelmed and destroyed him. As he died, the god cursed the Dinobot, believing he had in fact doomed Menonia's inhabitants.
