Talk:Acid Storm (G1)

Interesting reference for a Seeker redeco.--RosicrucianTalk 20:57, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

And the deco furthers the reference because one of the Rainmakers was about that shade of green. It's a more elaborate color scheme, because the Rainmakers were boring as hell (go lazy animators!).--RosicrucianTalk 21:34, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
So it's the Green Rainmaker that's supposed to be Acid Storm? Crap. That means my friend Lady Tecuma and I are going to have to change the name of one of our Rainmakers in our fan fiction. We named the green one "Stormbringer" in honour of the comic series, which if you ask me is a hell of a lot more creative than "Acid Storm". Anyway, you can read about them here [1], if you like.--Nightshade83 17:29, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
We've yet to see a packaging bio, so it can't be certain who he's supposed to be. The coincidences are pretty big, though.--RosicrucianTalk 17:51, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
If we've yet to see a packaging bio, how do we even know he's a he? Maybe Hasbro has released the first canon female Seeker? That would be awesome! --Nightshade83 18:05, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
His Bio is online at...Tfw2005 i think. Judging by his abilities,it's safe to say this is the G1 Rainmaker.86.87.28.191 21:26, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Camo jets

[edit]

To help settle the question of whether Acid Storm's camo is a reference to anything, I've found pics of the three four camo-jet TFs I know about:

Unproduced G2 Ramjet

Unproduced G2 somebody

MW Thundercracker

Edit: Wingstun

And here's Acid Storm.

If I had to say who's closest... I'd go with probably MW Thundercracker Wing Stun. But that's still quite the a bit of a stretch. Certainly for the purposes of the article, I don't think we should identify the deco as a reference to any one of them.

- Jackpot 03:53, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

You forgot Wingstun. But I agree, it looks like a brand new scheme not inspired by any previous jet. --Detour 04:06, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Noted, thanks. And I'm starting to rethink the idea that we shouldn't mention past camo-jets; it might be a good idea to bring up ALL the predecessors just to disabuse anyone of the notion that there is a specific homage involved. - Jackpot 17:39, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Fiction

[edit]

Should this be treated the same way Sunstorm was? It's my understanding that he's fully intended to be the green rainmaker, so that episode detail should go on this page, yes? --Spectre 03:13, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Yep.--ItsWalky 03:14, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Released?

[edit]

Snint's latest edit claims Acid Storm is out already. Do you have a source to confirm this? I just checked Allspark, TFW2005, Seibertron and TFormers and came up empty-handed. --Detour 08:05, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

No, sir, I do not. That was an edit made in error, when I trusted my faulty memory when I should have checked the facts. Thank you for correcting me! I will restore the tag. --Sntint 08:35, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Noticed something

[edit]

His deco is very similar to Waspinator if you compare both toys, I think it should be noted in the main page---ACIDSTORM92 18:23, 29 March 2010 (EDT)

No it shouldn't. NCZ 18:24, 29 March 2010 (EDT)

Moved discussion from "Talk: Acid Wing"

[edit]

It's not a lost trademark. Hasbro never held the trademark on "Acid Storm" in the category of building toys, which are, surprisingly, not in the same category as pre-assembled action figures. Pirateblue (talk) 14:10, 4 November 2014 (EST)

Main image

[edit]

I think I would rather have the cartoon look as the main image and the AVP image in the fiction section. Make that consistent across all three Rainmakers if you have to. Saix (talk) 00:39, 23 August 2018 (EDT)

Yeah, it's a cool image... but Acid Storm has looked like a regular Seeker guy in virtually ALL other fictional appearances. Nu-Priest (talk) 06:47, 25 August 2018 (EDT)
[edit]

Considering that the name of the page has been moved to "Acid Storm (G1)", can we get all links to this page on other pages changed so that there are no redirections. Those redirections can get annoying sometimes.--NexusShard17 (talk) 20:26, 26 August 2018 (EDT)

Sure! Go ahead and edit them! Escargon (talk) 20:29, 26 August 2018 (EDT)
