Christ on a Cone of Tragedy, that opening profile is about four times longer than it needs to be. Ramp it BACK. Bigtime. --M Sipher 05:55, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

Agreed. There is a lot of redundancy in it. Even removing that would drastically shorten it. --Steve-o 15:40, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

My apologies on that, I'm fairly new to the whole wiki thing, just started adding info about the toy modes then thought I'd add info to the rest and I guess I was a little verbose.

Welkerian proportions

[edit]

Should any mention be made of Beachcomber being one of the three Autobot characters that Alan Oppenheimer supplies the voice for,the other two being Warpath and Seaspray. He is also the voice of Merman, which is why Seaspray sounds like him. ChoHIlqoq 04:14, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Just FYI, because I'm still quite new at this and buzzing on gin, but I made a grammar fix (changed 'were' to 'was') somewhere in the beginning of his G! spiel - and I wasn't logged in at the time. So, that was me. Pcgneurotic 12:55, 23 December 2011 (EST)

Dead in the Animated Movie comic adaption?

[edit]

If the note here is correct - that Beachcomber was shown dead in the 2006 comic adaptation - it'd be worth a little section on this page, along with an image. -- Repowers 12:27, 10 September 2013 (EDT)

Also also, there really should be an image of him from Spotlight: Blaster, and a bit longer explanation of his role in that issue's events. -- Repowers 12:28, 10 September 2013 (EDT)
There is someone there, in the corner of the panel. If it is Beachcomber, he is off-model and off-color, but I can't think of anyone else it could be. - Starfield 17:24, 10 September 2013 (EDT)

Altmode

[edit]

I'm not sure I see the compelling reason to think Beachcomber is a Fast Attack Vehicle versus any other type of generic sandrail. Are we basing this on the fact that he has body panels? He certainly has zero of the weapons typically mounted on the FAV and his rollcage is much less elaborate. -LV (talk) 19:01, 3 March 2015 (EST)

Given that this was originally added by a user whose only other contribution is also making a very specific statement about an altmode (that of Goldbug), I think we could probably revert to the previous "of probably made up model" statement. --Khajidha (talk) 21:19, 3 March 2015 (EST)

Henkei Beachcomber

[edit]

"The Henkei! Henkei! release of Universe Beachcomber has more cartoon-accurate colours and paint applications, his blue paint finish is flat and less vibrant than Hasbro's release." What "blue paint finish"? I have both version in my hand right now and the only section with blue paint appears to be the visor.--Nevermore (talk) 09:16, 28 October 2017 (EDT)

"Australian exclusives"

[edit]

Added his Australian 1990 reissue in Australia to the G1 Toy section. I personally witnessed the Hornsby store of the long since defunct toy retail chain, Playscene stock Bumblebee, Beachcomber, Hubcap, Seaspray, Ramjet, Cyclonus, Starscream and Soundwave w/- Buzzsaw, and added several of these figures to my collection at the time. You don't have to make a comment for every edit you make. Escargon (talk) 13:52, 17 August 2021 (EDT)

PVC tyres.

[edit]

Is this worth mentioning on his legacy toy?Poliwag06 (talk) 21:49, 4 April 2023 (EDT)

I don't see why not. --AzimuthAcolyte (talk) 23:32, 4 April 2023 (EDT)
