Do we actually have any confirmation that the CW Legends-class Stunticon is actually this guy, or has someone just made an assumption because of its appearance? -- BT383 (talk) 01:23, 31 July 2014 (EDT)

If you adjust the contrast of Menasor's stock image, you see a computer screen that has Blackjack's name on it: http://tformers.com/sdcc-2014-upcoming-generations-legends-huffer-and-blackjack-accidentally-revealed/24277/news.html --ItsWalky (talk) 01:37, 31 July 2014 (EDT)
And further confirmation, just in case anybody wanted some: https://www.facebook.com/transformers/photos/a.689825324420998.1073741891.146805978722938/689825791087618/?type=3&theater --ItsWalky (talk) 23:54, 6 August 2014 (EDT)

Can anyone confirm that the new Blackjack toy (Generations Combiner Wars Legends Class) was originally meant to be (or at least pay homage to) Runabout (G1)? The deco is obviously based on the Micromaster, but the head and chest remind me much more of the Battlecharger. (see also: trademark, Runabout/Runamuck/Over-Run, Flanker/Sky High, etc.) --Rhymus (talk) 02:09, 21 August 2014 (EDT)

Some folks think he looks like Searchlight or some other Throttlebot. There's no point saying on the page unless it's more obvious to us. --ItsWalky (talk) 02:21, 21 August 2014 (EDT)

Gorlam Prime

[edit]

Now that Blackjack has appeared in the ongoing Transformers series as a member of the Stunticons, who do we say appeared on Gorlam Prime? Road Hugger, Road Hugger or Black Heat? --DeathbotTheGreat (talk) 23:21, 18 March 2015 (EDT)

Blackjack. All the good names are taken. --Xaaron (talk) 22:52, 18 March 2015 (EDT)
Frankly, I think it's time to relegate the Gorlam Prime guys to unnamed Easter Eggs. Not one of them got a line, they're all dead, and we're getting an increasing number of Micromasters turning up as "normal" Transformers regardless of whether they were homaged in Revelation or not. - SanityOrMadness (talk) 23:04, 18 March 2015 (EDT)
Fair point. I just asked because we've already split the articles as such before (Tailwind's Gorlam Prime appearance was changed to Windrim after Tailwind appeared in MTMTE, and there was more than one Micromaster who shared a mold with Blackjack, so I wasn't sure who to say appeared on Gorlam Prime in Blackjack's place). And sorry I forgot to sign my comment earlier. --DeathbotTheGreat (talk) 23:21, 18 March 2015 (EDT)
Blackjack. Black Heat has different coloration, and besides, let's be honest, we can tell at a glance that it's Blackjack. That we later get another guy based on the same character doesn't make the GP version any less Blackjack than he was originally. If one wanted to be stupidly pedantic, we could split the appearances into two different articles. Blackjack (Gorlam) and Blackjack (G1) I suppose. But that's unnecessary and symptomatic of a tendency to needlessly overcomplicate the organization. A simple transitional sentence ("Later on, a different but visually similar Blackjack who was not a Gorlam Prime native blah blah blah") would accomplish the same thing in a far more elegant fashion.--Jimsorenson (talk) 23:52, 18 March 2015 (EDT)
But stupid pedantry is what we do here! Jokes aside though, this solution has precedent over at Barricade, who's in the same boat, and seems alright. --Apoc (talk) 08:17, 19 March 2015 (EDT)
I'm still leaning increasingly towards wanting to make one page for the Gorlam Prime guys rather than matching them to the specific Micromasters, especially as this sort of thing is going to become more frequent as time goes on and more of them appear on Cybertron as Transformers will no relation to Gorlam Prime. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 14:16, 23 March 2015 (EDT)

Original intent as Runamuck aside, do we know if Hasbro meant for Combiner Wars Blackjack to be a continuation of the Sports Car Patrol Blackjack? It occurred to me that every one of Blackjack's previous appearances was based on the whole Micromaster trait, but Combiner Wars Blackjack was intentionally designated as a component of regular-sized combiner Menasor and is therefore arguably a new character archetype of his own. While I don't think that it's the surefire solution, I would favor splitting 1989 and 2015 Blackjack into their own articles. It would solve the "Spotlight: Nightbeat" vs. "First Contact" Blackjack problem. In addition, while I suppose it could have happened before, I am unaware of any instance in which Hasbro designed a Micromaster character archetype that they later did as a distinct non-Micromaster. I can only think of such instances in non-mainstream toy-based fiction, such as Wings Universe Flak, in which case there is no double character identification. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 16:10, 21 May 2015 (EDT)

.....no. Blackjack is far from the only Micromaster to have a Gorlam Prime doppelganger. This toy does not make him any different. --ItsWalky (talk) 16:21, 21 May 2015 (EDT)

TCG Siege packs

[edit]

In the Games section does anyone have a good quality scan and understanding of Blackjack's new card? I suppose this could be said for many new cards but it would be great to have it added. Battle eRector (talk) 17:59, 10 December 2019 (EST)

Should we place stunticon logo?

[edit]

I mean, CW was a one time thing, but still.Poliwag06 (talk) 02:04, 30 March 2023 (EDT)

No. Stop applying faction logos that the continuity never used. Saix (talk) 06:29, 30 March 2023 (EDT)
