Should we add The Transformers (Madman) and Rodimus vs. Cyclonus as part of the G1 cartoon continuity? - Starfield 22:06, 25 December 2010 (EST)

No. --Detour 22:32, 25 December 2010 (EST)
A better question is why the hell Beast Wars is on this page. Even the description of it here seems to preclude its eligibility. This page seems kinda, well, useless as-is. Contrary to Detour's "No," I do think the Madman and RvC comics do need to be included here, though in a capacity to decided for some better version of this page. --ItsWalky 23:20, 25 December 2010 (EST)
Yeah, I have to question how useful/informative this page is. In all fairness to Starfield, this looks like something he created over a year ago and linked to a bunch of things but... nobody questioned it because they didn't notice or didn't care. It doesn't tell people anything particularly new or useful.--RosicrucianTalk 00:09, 26 December 2010 (EST)
This page is not useful. Given that we already have Generation 1 cartoon timeline I'm not even sure how it could be made useful. --Khajidha 09:30, 26 December 2010 (EST)
I think what could make this page useful from the timeline page is to talk about all of the various elements that make up the Generation 1 cartoon continuity. What made this page useless was that it only mentioned the cartoon itself and something that didn't belong on the page at all, rather than all of the tiny little additional things that complement the cartoon. The Marvel Comics stuff has both a "continuity" and a "timeline" page, for example. We should follow that template. --ItsWalky 10:16, 26 December 2010 (EST)
"Rodimus vs. Cyclonus" links here (not my doing) because it was written in-continuity with the movie. Linking here is a good thing, to explain to the wiki user exactly how it is related to the G1 cartoon continuity when they read in the issue itself that the story was concluded in the '86 film. The Transformers (Madman) links to the cartoon page under "continuity" (which is inappropriate), but should link here also to explain how it is related.
If I can throw in my 2¢, in a wiki where "everything is canon", being written in-continuity with the cartoon should be enough for it to be in-continuity with the cartoon. A few years passing in the real world shouldn't matter. Both the Madman comic and Rodimus vs. Cyclonus should be listed here and have entries in the Generation 1 cartoon timeline (in italics with a note). - Starfield 12:26, 26 December 2010 (EST)
