Talk:Ironhide (Movie)
Leaked pic, so deletion required. --FFN 13:05, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
This article needs the pic of him (I was told it was him) looking at the little girl; I got the perfect caption for it.
- I think we should hold off on more pics until we can get more text into the main fiction body of the article. --FFN 19:16, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Neo thing was for his slow-mo bullet dodges.
Best reference I could think of immediatly.
- The movie Blade did it a full year before the Matrix. Why does nobody remember this? -Derik 18:56, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Trivia
[edit]Monroe Truck Equipment, in association with Hasbro, will release a GMC TopKick Ironhide special edition...
I don't know that a Transformers tie-in version of a real truck being produced for the market is insignificant enough for the word "Trivia". Any objection to me moving it to an "Items of note" header?
- Well, I sort of object in the sense that I don't think "Items of note" is a standard section here. What's wrong with putting it under trivia? Etymologies aside, I don't think that implies that the information is "trivial". --Steve-o 00:20, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
Missing sentence
[edit]There's a place that reads "Soon afterwards, the Decepticon Brawl He did an unnecessary series of somersaults". I don't remember the scene well enough to fix this myself, but someone else needs to. --Suki Brits 14:22, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, I was expanding the original writeup and screwed up. --FFN 14:37, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
Tooth fairy
[edit]I know the film's editing heavily implies that it is Ironhide, but to my recollection it sure as fuck doesn't look anything like him, and looks a lot like Prime. It's tall and thin, and doesn't have a dog-face... I can see why our anonymous editor made that change. I am highly uncertain on it myself. --Steve-o 05:43, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- I think it is Ironhide. The four Autobot landing areas were a stadium, a field, a private backyard swimming pool, and a bar-thing. The bar-thing is obviously Ratchet, because we see him leave that very scene. The stadium is arguably Jazz, because the stadium is in the middle of a city where one can reasonably expect to also find a car dealership. I think Ironhide landed in the swimming pool, because I think it is most likely that he found a Topkick sitting in the driveway on the same property as the pool. Simultaneously, I think that Prime landed in the field, which had hills on at least one end, and after ascending a hill viewed a road from which we see him assume his truck form.
- As counterpoint, though, I did notice that the music noticeably ramps up as the Autobot leaves the pool, as one might expect when a movie introduces its Important Action Hero Character. --Sntint 06:05, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- ...he scans the pickup truck in the girl's driveway. -Derik 09:33, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- To clarify- Jazz and Ratchet get their altmodes before the sequence at the pool. (Cut from Jazz's trans-scan to the girl at the pool.) There is literally no one else the pool-robot could be. -Derik 09:37, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- Pretty logical sequence of events - Ratchet lands the store near the bar/diner and we see the rescue H2 drive away. Prime lands a field somewhere, gets up and runs from the scene of his crater. Later, still in the middle of nowhere on a hill overlooking a road as The Most Blinged Up Peterbilt 379 In the Universe drives by which he scans. Ironhide falls into the pool, walk over from the girl, hides behind the trees as the girl's parents freakout over the pool and he drives away as the Topkick. In fact, the only ambigious one is Jazz, as he crashes into a baseball stadium yet is next seen at a car dealership. Boy, sure was lucky that the car dealer was so close to a baseball stadium. You know, so the homeruns could hit their cars.
- As for the music during the pool sequence, Jablonsky played up the 'angel/fairy' angle of the scene with the backing choir. --FFN 13:49, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- You all seem to forget that all the protoforms in the movie are the same. Look up protoform on this very site and in trivia it says "All the Autobot protoforms within the Transformers film are Protoform Optimus Prime. Not to say that ILM got lazy." --Skyglide 15:21, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Size Class Cover-up?
[edit]Anyone else think the reason why Ironhide got a toy in a larger size class, instead of his largest toy being a class smaller like most other characters, is some form of hiding his death at the hands of Sentinel?--CrowBuster
- It's probably more likely for the opposite reason, that the toy was made in memory of him. Inkblot 19:48, 1 January 2012 (EST)
i suspect but do not know that Ironhide (Movie) only coincidentally shares his deco with fellow pickup truck Ironhide (RID) and Diaclone pre-Ironhide, but should the article point it out anyhow? Also, i assume such a mention would go on the Ironhide (Movie) article rather than Ironhide (Movie)/toys, since in my mind the movie character would be the actual homage and the toys merely pay secondhand homage via show-accuracy.

"Beast Wars Telemocha Series catalog comic"
[edit]Does this actually exist? It seems to have been added in 2007 by somebody who wasn't clear on the details of the Diorama Story. Saix (talk) 21:16, 22 August 2015 (EDT)
