Where is name from? -Derik 18:29, 9 July 2011 (EDT)

It's following the trend of "Buffalo MPV Decepticon" and "M1 Abrams Decepticon" based on the fact that Scalpel turned into a lensmeter. - Chris McFeely 19:00, 9 July 2011 (EDT)
Ah, I did not realize Lensmaster was a brand. -Derik 19:03, 9 July 2011 (EDT)

Official name?

[edit]

So, Prime 1 Studio used our little nickname for these guys on their official DOTM Megatron statue. I'm pretty sure this is just another case of citogenesis, but even if it is, other names and things have also been canonized in similar ways before. So should we remove the no-name template from the top of the page?

I also noticed that the "Lensmeter Decepticons" name is only used in their English-language website. In the Japanese version they're called Scalpel (スカルペル). I don't know if that means anything for the wiki but it's certainly interesting to note. --Fritz (talk) 20:11, 11 June 2021 (EDT)
