Talk:Lockdown (Animated)
I THINK Lockdown is the bounty hunter, and Lugnut's the decipticon Bulkhead.
Bio from the box Scan - [removed illegal link] Thanks to the Allspark. --invisiblemoose 9:41, 3 December 2007 (NZ)
- Please see Help:Coming soon. Those toys aren't supposed to be released yet, so information gleamed from auctions of possibly-stolen copies of them should not be added to Teletraan I. --Sntint 21:03, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- Talk about stupid rules. What's the point of it? If we update something that Hasbro want's us to remove, we can simply do that. Until then, why not update any new rumors that we could just find? --Hepathos 21:23, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- Rumors are stupid hobby-poison and have no place here. But Lockdown's bio is not a "rumor," since we do know what it is. Info from stolen items, especially items that were about to be released anyway, I could personally see going either way--but it is policy here that such are forbidden. --Thylacine 2000 21:42, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- If by 'about to be released' you mean June 2008.... --invisiblemoose 11:39, 3 December 2007 (NZ)
- The same can be said for Prowl (Animated) when that was updated MONTHS ago. There was some reluctance, but it was updated anyway. --invisiblemoose 11:16, 3 December 2007 (NZ)
Something seems odd here
[edit]I just recently got a Lockdown figure from a Q102 Raffle back during Botcon, and I just got him all transformed when I noticed that 3/4 of his limbs are either colored wrong or lacking paint when compared to the *VERY* show accurate pic of him on the back of his card. Is this normal? AutobotFreak643 20:41, 2 May 2008 (UTC) P.S. He also doesn't have a rubsign after all on the toy, but the box shows it on the car roof in all of G1 rubsign glory.
image captions
[edit]So, who's for making all his captions Bishop quotes? if the picture allows for it of course...--Carrion 16:22, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
- Death's Head quotes would seem more appropriate, yes?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.138.15.186 (talk • contribs){{#if:| {{{2}}}|}}.
- Eh, we can mix and match and see what works.

- Why is there a racial slur on the image caption (in toys)? we should remove it and warn who added it on.WILL3462 PRIME (talk) April 19 2026, 3:48 pm (PDT)
- Which image are you referring to? I'm not sure which one you're talking about. Escargon (talk) 19:57, 19 April 2026 (EDT)
- While "ooga booga" is generally used as simple shorthand for caveman speak, it's been used as a slur against Aboriginal Australians in the past, something that most people aren't aware of. The caption has already been changed to something equivalent, and considering it was clearly not added with the intent to offend (especially considering it was older than some of the editors on this site), no warnings need to be given. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 20:54, 19 April 2026 (EDT)

Deaths Head homage?
[edit]He does appere a homage to Deaths Head, his hand changes into weaponery and his to has the "cleached teath look to it. worth metioning? Editoroflife 08:29, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
New toy image
[edit]It's from Transformers.com, so it's official. The 'Bee :) 16:32, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
EMP generator
[edit]I just saw that the EMP generator can be removed from lockdown's arm with a simple peg in the same shape of ratchet's scar, so i'm almost sure that it can be atatched to ratchet.--Grand-majin 16:06, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Yay! :D The 'Bee :) 15:54, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yep,you can see it on peaugh's youtube channel,no direct linking though since we're not "allowed" to know this. Decepticon Rhinox 13:55, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- No, we're allowed to post stuff about the toys now. They've been officially released to stores in Cincinnati. This isn't a leak this time, they're a test-market.--RosicrucianTalk 15:14, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Wrong,Ratchet is wave 2,so he has not been released to test market yet. So we're still not "allowed" to know things about ratchet's toy. Decepticon Rhinox 10:54, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Um, wave 2 has been released. —Interrobang 11:43, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Wow,so it's not just a wave of testmarketing anymore. That's some crazy shit. Decepticon Rhinox 16:02, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Size
[edit]Why is the size changed from leader to voyager? next to my movie ratchet, lockdown is a head taller, so it schould be changed to "almost as big as a leader class toy" or it schould be changed to "bigger then a voyager class toy."
- It is being sold at Voyager class. Being larger than another Voyager by a head does not make it a different size class.--RosicrucianTalk 15:52, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- Was it not deluxe class?--Grand-majin 15:56, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- Then why are you claiming the size was changed from leader to voyager? If you're just talking about the line that says he's "nearly as big as a voyager" that still puts him a long way from a leader-class as he's only taller not bigger.--RosicrucianTalk 16:02, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, then i said it wrong, sorry. i just wanted to note that for a deluxe class toy, that he's bigger then most voyager class toys, putting him closer to the size of a leader class toy.--Grand-majin 16:14, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- No, he's taller than many Voyager class toys. Height has nothing to do with it. Size classes are determined by two main things: complexity and mass. That's why Cybertron Metroplex is a Leader instead of a Supreme and Animated Bulkhead is a Voyager instead of a Deluxe. --FortMax 16:19, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- There's a big size gulf between voyagers and leaders, due to the omitted ultra class.--RosicrucianTalk 16:17, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- I don't know how tall the animated toyline leader class toys are, so i compared him to movie optimus prime, he's about a head smaller. I just want it to be noted that for a deluxe, he has an impressive size.(and excuse me wen i mix bigger and taller, i mix those up often.)--Grand-majin 16:27, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- Which Movie Prime? If it's the one where the truck nose forms a backpack and the robot chest windows are not the truck mode windows, you've got the Voyager Prime. --FortMax 16:59, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- Considering the context of the discussion, I'm guessing Grand-majin means the Leader-class Movie Prime, especially since he says Lockdown's taller than Movie Ratchet.--Apcog 17:05, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- yeah, i was talking about the leader class prime.--Grand-majin 17:45, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Hook arm
[edit]Since the hook arm is detachable and dosent match his colours scheem, is anyone thinking that this might just be like the EMP generator, can also go on annother toy, i think maybe, oil slick? Maybe we're gona get various toys later on with parts the detach and can be added to Lockdown, his chainsaw arm, ect? Editoroflife 02:20, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- Being a hook, it could be a piece for one of the constructicons or Oil Slick( same color pattern)
The hook's color scheme is different to make it match up well in car mode,it detaches because it's a detachable weapon, plus he appears that way in flashbacks so you'll have his cybertron mode and earth mode in one toy. Decepticon Rhinox 13:57, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- The hook attachment's yellow is entirely hidden in car mode. It has yellow trim on the revealed robot parts because that's what color his hook arm is on his character model. No other reason. --ItsWalky 14:35, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Decepticon?
[edit]He Mentioned he wasn't one of them. Why do you Identified as a decepticon. Black rhino ranger 14:26, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Your approach to capitalization is refreshing.
- Anyway, Hasbro identifies him as a Decepticon. JW 14:35, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's how Hasbro identifies him, but in show, he only works with the Decepticons because "they pay on time, and allow him the upgrades he wants". At least that's what the article says.--AWT88 15:19, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, we know. But rather like Gnaw the Sharkticon, who technically was on the Quintessons' side, he's marketed as a Decepticon, and so is listed as such. Lockdown's article specifically says he's a Decepticon "by necessity," indicating he isn't part of the faction in the usual sense.--Apcog 15:41, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Personally I'm quite tempted to see if I can't fit a rubsign over his tampographed faction symbol when I get him. To fit the cartoon.--RosicrucianTalk 15:45, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Not a bad idea. Anyone know if the reprolabels rubsigns are actually rub-able?Decepticon Rhinox 10:57, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

- Its interesting to note that Lockdown doesn't identify as a Decepticon and also lacks the apparently natural Decepticon size and strength. It's possible that he's a convert like Blackarachnia.
Concept art
[edit]Very interesting... Worth adding to the page? - Cyberlink420 00:11, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
- I would say so. I hope more concept work gets out, I love that stuff.--Carrion 00:50, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
EMP gen engine after loss
[edit]Despite having lost the EMP generator, Lockdown retains the external engine it comprises in his vehicle mode, as seen in "A Fistful of Energon". While watching, I noticed that the engine looked a bit different. Also, when he transformed, it seemed to purposely call attention to it. Perhaps we should say something about it.--Skyglide 04:31, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
Flame Redeco
[edit]What is the source of the Flame redeco with the chainsaw weapon, have we seen this with its new weapon, if so where can i find a picture? Editoroflife 02:23, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- It was seen in a slide presentation at BotCon 2008. --ItsWalky 03:03, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Maybe an EX-autobot?
[edit]- It just hit me because he trained under yukitron before/during the great war might make him an ex-autobot, is it worth nothing?--Sunjumper 12:54, 9 April 2009 (EDT)
Star Wars homage?
[edit]I remembered a character called Gorm the Dissolver while watching my wife play Lego Star Wars: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Gorm
He's a bountyhunter/assassin that sometimes upgrades himself with parts of his victims.
Coincidence?
Decepticon Denial
[edit]I didn't make that part up, right? Lockdown does say something about not being a Decepticon - or at least not confirming he's a Decepticon - in Thrill of the Hunt, right? --Monzo 09:49, 14 July 2009 (EDT)
- In Ratchet's flashback in that episode he says "You Decepticon scum" to Lockdown, who responds with "I'm not one of them". -Mazenoise 10:08, 14 July 2009 (EDT)
He's an Autobot
[edit]So I was at Auto Assembly last weekend and as you might know Derrick Wyatt was a guest at the convention. Well I went to him to get a sketch made, but in order to get a sketch made I first had to buy something off him, I opted for an animation layout or what ever it was, well the one I choose was of Lockdown and apart from featuring shadow and light lines it had an Autobot symbol where his rub sign is usually located. So do we add this to the Article? Dead Metal 03:53, 20 August 2010 (EDT)
Autobot
[edit]He used to train under Yoketron, making him an Autobot. So why is this not added?--96.50.11.220 04:19, 23 August 2011 (EDT)
Toy photo
[edit]Does anybody have a Deluxe Lockdown with which to add a fixed pic for that toy?Dingdongdude (talk) 11:50, 11 March 2021 (EST)
- Done. TheLastGherkin (talk) 15:11, 18 March 2021 (EDT)

Legacy Toy
[edit]What should we do for the new Lockdown toy in legacy? I thought it might go here, but it might be too early to tell.Unicronus (talk) 7:57, 7 March 2024 (EST)
- As with all leaks and stolen materials, we wait until it's officially announced, so they can officially tell us what universe/incarnation of the character it is. - Chris McFeely (talk) 08:06, 7 March 2024 (EST)
