Watchmen?

[edit]

"The scene where the Ark crashes is nearly identical to a similar sequence in Watchmen."

Really? Which one? JW 18:37, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Tara Strong comment

[edit]

What comment exactly did Tara Strong make? -- SFH 20:50, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

something akin to a surprise about Sari's origin, which has since culminated into some kind of wild theory about her being a super-advanced bio-android or something.--Carrion 20:56, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
I was afraid of that. I've seen the stuff on posts. It certainly makes no sense with what we saw in Along Came a Spider. Crazy what the mind thinks up. -- SFH 21:04, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

TFW2005: Is there any insight you could give us on where Sari's adventures with the Transformers might take her throughout the rest of the series without giving too much away?
Tara: Let's just say her entire identity could be a surprise.

Name

[edit]

Oh, for Primus sake, not again...-- SFH 21:38, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey, it's what it says on the screen. Last week it was impossible to tell if it was an Arabic 1 or a Roman I, since the font just made it a straight vertical line. This one had an Arabic 2, so... - Chris McFeely 21:46, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Megatron's transformation

[edit]

"Megatron's transforming sequence from helicopter to robot is just the sequence of robot to helicopter played backwards." Just to point out, not the entire thing is just played backwards, some bits are difrent, like wen he reveals his head.--Grand-majin 21:54, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, the main parts like the legs and the rotor wings and stuff are different, and so is his limb movements, I think. 59.100.108.62 00:46, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Uh, a suggestion?

[edit]

Maybe we should put that image of Screamer getting off-lined into his own article?59.100.108.62 01:55, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

I can't think of a finer crew...

[edit]

Since we've been clamping down hard on ridiculous attempts at seeing "references" in every little thing, I wanted to throw this out before actually adding it: Prime's pre-battle speech to his team is reminiscent of Primal's speeches at the end of "Other Voices, Part 2" and again near the end of Beast Machines. Just a coincidence? Certainly possible. Worth at least a mention, though? -- Repowers 02:13, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Other references questions

[edit]
  • Sari recognizes Megatron from his new earth alt mode despite never seeing it before, she also seems to know who Megatron is, despite never being told, either. Unless you count her experience with the All-spark, which never gives a name, just an image.

Given Sari's befuddled "Did we just have a conversation?" from her first encounter with the Allspark in the pilot, which implies two-way, is it so out the question there was some telepathic connection made that gave Sari Megatron's name in the scene referred to here?

-- Personally, I think it's much simpler than that. Three flying decepticons were chasing the Ark, one of them was new...chances were pretty good that the new player could've been Megatron. In other words...she guessed that the guy she didn't know was Megsy. --Kendrakirai 21:20, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

  • Megatron's method of absorbing the power of the AllSpark, as well as Optimus's way of defeating him, are both nods to the 2007 Movie.

Is it really? Megatron didn't intend to shove it in his chest, that was Optimus' last-ditch plan to destroy it in sum total (granted, Optimus intended to use his own chest, but...), and there was no hitting-the-movie-Allspark-with-an-axe-type bit. [The real version is noted one section down] I was thinking more Matrix of Leadership when there's a glowy ball in the chest granting the user enhanced power than movie All Spark... - 82.10.138.152 03:11, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Work in progress template?

[edit]

I've not seen this episode yet, so as far as I know the summary is not complete (given it doesn't mention several scenes). So how about we stick some kind of template to indicate it's a work in progress? --FFN 04:59, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, actually, I was gonna ask... is there any reason why the plot summary only describes the first half of the episode, then closes off as though this were the entire episode summary? It's very misleading, especially to those who haven't had the chance to view it yet. Rose.T 14:53, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

I left a hint. --Thylacine 2000 19:36, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Why not just put in the {{epstub}} template? That way it shows up in the proper category listings as a stub? --M Sipher 19:49, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, well... I still haven't figured out what the heck all the various templates are and what they mean... this is why I limit myself talk pages, and fixing typos in articles. Rose.T 03:38, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

We need to work this in somehow

[edit]

Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the mind of the tank as it fell was Oh slag, not again. Many people have speculated that if we knew exactly why the tank had thought that we would know a lot more about the nature of the universe than we do now. --FortMax 04:44, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Any Hitchhiker's Guide reference is good enough for me, so what we need is an image of Blitzwing falling into the lake...-- SFH 04:48, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

I agree! Even though the pic's already there and I've only been a user for an hour. BenHur 17:26, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Dinobot Island?

[edit]

Huh? --M Sipher 19:53, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

To be honest, I was thinking the same thing. Professor Icepick 20:29, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Either it's Dinobot Island, or there are two volcanic islands near Detroit. JW 20:37, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Until the show makes it explicit it IS Dinobot Island, I'm more comfortable assuming the latter than the former. --M Sipher 22:07, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Oh come on. You can see the shape as they're coming in and it's IDENTICAL. And he caldera is positioned in exactly the same spot, and takes up as much of the island. If that's not Dinobot Island, the Autobots crashed in hawaii User:GWolfv2
It's confirmed as Dinobot Island the very next episode. Problem solved.--RosicrucianTalk 01:24, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Megatron head continuity error

[edit]

There is no continuity error for Megatron head to be more damaged fifty years after being found, Sumdac got his technology by reverse enginering Megatron, the visible damage and exposed parts can be presumed to have been done during his processes of exploration. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.154.158.232 (talkcontribs){{#if:| {{{2}}}|}}.

Continuity errors vary a great deal in explicability. Ratchet's right arm coming back for one shot, for example, has no explanation that isn't really silly. Megatron's head has a fairly simple explanation. Nevertheless, this explanation is not actually present in the show. If a discrepancy requires us to assume things not in evidence, then it can legitimately be considered a continuity error. JW 18:28, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
However, if you're going to note this, it should be back in Transform And Roll Out, since it's the first time it shows up (the clips here are recycled from part 1)
There was no reason for Sumdac to believe the robot was a living being, exploring it and using its parts freely without a concern for the "corpse" wouldnt be such a stretch.

Punishments of Starscream

[edit]

There is mention of the very few times it has happened before. Usually, references like this have links connecting to articles with the relevant information. I would add it, but I don't want to be presumptuous. I am assuming it refers to Cybertron or possibly Armada, correct me if I'm wrong. ZeldaTheSwordsman 21:48, 10 September 2009 (EDT)

Blitzwing

[edit]

I believe what we have is a case of mode attachment. Scanning a tank was Hothead's idea, and he correspondingly shows a preference for the tank mode. ZeldaTheSwordsman 12:33, 4 March 2010 (EST)

Quotes

[edit]

Is there a reason most of the quotes here are actually scenes? Didn't we have a discussion some time back about avoiding such long "quotes"? --Khajidha 15:15, 16 April 2012 (EDT)
