I would like to point out that the proper name for the weapon is "railgun", and this should therefore be moved. ---Blackout- 05:50, 23 November 2009 (EST)

Well, the novel and the linked Popular Mechanics article call it "rail gun." - Starfield 07:53, 23 November 2009 (EST)
Well, it seems that sources interchangeably use both names. ---Blackout- 09:10, 23 November 2009 (EST)

Axiom merge

[edit]

I'd like to see this merged with the Axiom Gun article, since the gun in the game... er... is the same thing. It's mounted on various platforms (ship, rail, fixed...) but it really does seem to be the same project, and I'm PRETTY SURE they call it the Axiom Rail Gun in the game at some point (Or at least the guidebook)-- it's just the name of the project.

The game also give it the same backstory of co-development. -Derik 14:24, 8 February 2010 (EST)

This was developed from examining Megatron. Note that in the film, it was stated the Autobots weren't sharing weapons tech. ZeldaTheSwordsman 11:34, 9 March 2010 (EST)

They sound like the same thing. The same thing can have slightly different origins in different fictions. I don't think that is a problem. That is why there are "differences with the movie" sections. I agree with a merge. - Starfield 12:00, 9 March 2010 (EST)
If we're going to merge, this should be the primary. ZeldaTheSwordsman 17:23, 9 March 2010 (EST)

G2 too

[edit]

This article also needs to cover G2 Megatron's shoulder weapon. -- Repowers 20:37, 18 April 2011 (EDT)
