Spoilers - Do not read unless you want to know who Robo-Warrior is.
[edit]Okay, the adaptation pretty much has shown that this is Seymour Simmons. What I'd ultimately like to see is the general consensus on whether this should remain a separate article once the movie premieres, or transition to a redirect. No rush, though.--RosicrucianTalk 16:38, 14 June 2009 (EDT)
- I don't think Robo-Warrior is necessarily Simmons within the continuity of the website itself. I think the website is like the Sector Seven Alternate Reality game, which is in a continuity of its own, the supposed "real world" continuity where the website is actual leaks of actual alien encounters and the Film is part of the misinformation campaign. So Robo-Warrior=Seymour Simmons could be a lie on part of Sector Seven to discredit the "real" information on the website. - Starfield 17:42, 14 June 2009 (EDT)
- I disagree. Merge. - SanityOrMadness 17:43, 14 June 2009 (EDT)
- It's Simmons. merge after the 28th. (Or whenever the UK premiere date is.) -Derik 19:22, 14 June 2009 (EDT)
- UK is the 19th: http://www.cineworld.co.uk/films/2612 (other cinema chains are available) - SanityOrMadness 19:25, 14 June 2009 (EDT)
- The US date then. The latest major-market english-speaking premiere day that is not Oceania. -Derik 19:35, 14 June 2009 (EDT)

- Both the website and Robo-Warrior are mentioned in the movie and its adaptations, not just in the viral ad campaign.--RosicrucianTalk 19:36, 14 June 2009 (EDT)
- Seymour Simmons doesn't exist in the viral campaign. Robo-Warrior may be Reggie Simmons in the viral campaign, but that seems unlikely. - Starfield 16:16, 25 June 2009 (EDT)
- I don't think you're getting what I'm saying.--RosicrucianTalk 12:24, 26 June 2009 (EDT)
- Starfield, this is a different viral campaign than the one from 2007. This one is in-continuity with the movie. -Derik 12:45, 26 June 2009 (EDT)
- It is (also?) in continuity with the one from 2007. Agent X contacted Leo Spitz. - Starfield 12:56, 26 June 2009 (EDT)
- Just to clarify, there are technically two Robo-Warriors, just like there are two Simmons (Reggie and Seymour). One from the actual website is from the ARG continuity. The other one Sector Seven depicted as the fictional "Seymour Simmons" in their disinformation campaign to discredit the "real" Robo-Warrior and his website. We could have a Robo-Warrior (ROTF contituity) and a Robo-Warrior (ARG) if we really wanted, and I think that would go a long way in clarifying things. - Starfield 11:33, 30 June 2009 (EDT)
- I can't agree. I think this is bordering on fanon.--RosicrucianTalk 11:36, 30 June 2009 (EDT)
- I see you have bought into the Sector Seven propaganda. I don't really understand what you don't agree with. The website itself, GiantEffingRobots.com/ is "real." The "real" Sector Seven created a disinformation campaign to discredit "real" information about alien robots. As part of that, they depicted Seymour as the creator of the website to make you think the website is all part of hollywood fiction, when it "really" is leaking information about alien robots. - Starfield 11:48, 30 June 2009 (EDT)
- Sector Seven, in the live-action continuity (or -ies) was disbanded and disavowed after the Mission City incident, as was Simmons. Unless you're alleging, and can back up with info from the viral, that S7 still exists post Mission City, then it's exactly as I said. You're essentially creating fanon to reconcile the original ARG with the viral. We don't do that here.--RosicrucianTalk 11:51, 30 June 2009 (EDT)
- OK, Sector Seven didn't create ROTF, but Agent X is still on the run from the government. - Starfield 12:01, 30 June 2009 (EDT)

Agent X?
[edit]Can I get a link on the Agent-X/Leo bit?
Was it just some user who happened to be using that name, or was a larger connection drawn? -Derik 11:55, 30 June 2009 (EDT)
- http://www.therealeffingdeal.com/blog/exclusive-mission-city-update The videos contain footage and audio re-used from the original ARG. --KilMichaelMcC 12:05, 30 June 2009 (EDT)
