So I realise that the only other character to use the name does have another name that we use as a priority (Doublecross), but given that he does use the name Twinferno quite a bit, shouldn't this article be called "Twinferno (RiD)" since he's not the only character to use the name? --Kurona (talk) 18:16, 7 April 2017 (EDT)

Disambiguation parentheticals exist to, well, disambiguate between articles that would otherwise have the same name - they're purely a functional thing. With no other article named Twinferno, this one doesn't need a parenthetical. Jalaguy (talk) 18:58, 7 April 2017 (EDT)
Perhaps Kurona is getting at that policy not being absolute - "Leobreaker (G1)" has a disambiguation parenthetical despite it not being technically necessary. However, one is arguably not necessary in this case because Doublecross has not many prominent appearances under "Twinferno". S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 19:01, 7 April 2017 (EDT)
Well, except for his first fully-fledged toy in 30 years.--Nevermore (talk) 05:39, 12 June 2017 (EDT)
There's still no confusion to be had here; the article for G1 Doublecross and RID Doublecross/Twinferno have different names, so there's no need to have an (RID) after this article's title because there's no other character who's original name is Twinferno. Doublecross has that name because it's an easy rename; "Doublecross" and "Twinferno" both describe the character; he's prone to the act of doublecrossing, and he has a twin-headed beast mode that can cause an inferno.
