The nature of this article kinda bugs me. Is there a reason we're putting information about the Decepticon base under a "name" (more a description, really) that was used in only 3 episodes, rather than under the proper title (Decepticon Headquarters) that was used throughout the rest of the series? Seems to me this article ought to cover what happened to the space ship up until its crash; after that, it became part of Decepticon HQ. -- Repowers 21:44, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

  • We did have a separate articles for the Ark and Autobot Headquarters, which was merged into Ark. I have a feeling that is also what would happen if we split these articles. -- SFH 21:58, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
I was involved in that, heh. The difference is that the Ark appears in numerous continuities, with the cartoon version obviously being one of several iterations of it; by contrast the "Decepticon space cruiser" only exists in the cartoon. Also the cartoon shows clearly that the cruiser is only a small part of Decep HQ, which IIRC is a whole complex of buildings; that base/ship distinction is a lot less clear with Autobot HQ. -- Repowers 22:10, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
IIRC, we're using the appellation 'Decepticon Space Cruiser' to distinguish this cruiser from the Nemesis. However-- in multiple continuities, the Undersea Decepticon Headquarters is the Nemesis, not this unrelated 2nd spacecruiser.
I'd like to see this article split between "Decepticon space cruiser" and "Undersea Decepticon Headquarters". Both the DSC and nemesis article can point 'into' the Undersea HQ article, as relevant. -Derik 22:52, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
When did they use Nemesis as an undersea base? I don't recall this but I could easily be forgetting something from Dreamwave or whoever.
If we make UDH, it begs the question of what to do with the Decepticon Headquarters page, which is already a bit scattered and maybe in need of splitting up. -- Repowers 23:19, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
Beast Wars had the Nemesis underwater. Dreamwave saw this, and failed to notice that Beast Wars also had the Nemesis crashing at its final resting place where it would be pillaged for technology by Megatron as shown in the g1 cartoon. Dreamwave then decided to have the Nemesis still underwater. Yay Pat Lee.--Rosicrucian 23:30, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Name of the Decepticon space cruiser

[edit]

According to Disciples of Boltax, on his June 30th entry this ship/underwater base has a name. [1] The Complete Ark has an entry on it, where it is called ironically the Victory. Even a pic with caption telling you. 69.250.42.72 14:57, 8 July 2009 (EDT)

Good find. I guess it has a name. - Starfield 15:22, 8 July 2009 (EDT)
Yup, let us hope that the powers that be edit the profile with its proper name, like they did with TFA's Slipstream. 69.250.42.72 21:59, 8 July 2009 (EDT)
Ha! I was wondering how long it would take someone to pick up on that bit from my blog. Hmmm ... when Complete Ark and AllSpark Almanac come out, you guys are going to have a lot of work to do.  ;) --Jimsorenson 01:40, 9 July 2009 (EDT)
