If his "original design art used the same color scheme as his Generation 1 counterpart," do we have a picture of that to put in the article? My personal theory is that High Moon referenced this MTMTE profile art of Vortex at right (apparently the colours look that way in the hardcopies too) when creating that concept art, and the pink chest and beige-ish limbs got carried over.
