Talk:Wreckage (Movie)

We saw the part-drawn/photoshopped image of 'Stryker' (just the vehicle's name) on the Hasbro tour, and he eventually became the TF we now know as Wreckage. Is 'Stryker' considered the same character as Wreckage (as he is an earlier version), or just somebody else completely? --FFN 13:45, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

I would say the nameless Stryker design is clearly an early Wreckage - also, that many many unnamed preproduction designs in TF exist and don't have their own pages. That's probably a question that needs to be raised at some point (something like "So what about all these unused Draxhall Junp designs, do those belong anywhere on the wiki?"). -LV 16:22, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
I hope Wreckage appears in a comic or a profile book or something, because other than his packaging head art, the 'Stryker' concept is the *only* art of Wreckage (that has been released). --FFN 16:30, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

...true, he appears in 2 flash-games, but both times it's pics of his toy. -Derik 17:32, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

I'd like to put an image of the Stryker design in the article, but my only photo of that poster is not very good. Does anybody have a decent picture they can upload? --Steve-o 00:22, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

I'd be grateful if anybody can do so. Sure, its the wrong colour, but the design is (more or less) the same. --FFN 14:31, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
Finding a good pic of the entire poster is harder than I thought, as most people photographed them from angles. I did find a good quality picture of his robot mode at Seibertron and cleaned it up abit - can we use it as a main picture? --FFN 17:34, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
I don't think it would be appropriate to use his unreleased Stryker body for the main picture. --Steve-o 18:44, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
If you want to put the Stryker art in the trivia section, that'd be great. I'll do a snap from Flight of the Bumblebee to fill out the main pic (we can replace it with something better later if he appears somewhere.) -Derik 19:49, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Main image

[edit]

Is a better video game shot available? This one's too small (it's stretched way past its actual size) and doesn't even show his face. If not, I vote for going back to the comic panel for the main image. -- Repowers 21:47, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

I actually like the comic panel image less. It's not the right body, it's kind of a bad pose in a small panel. Plus, the tall game image for such a microscopic game section leaves a lot of blank space in the article. --M Sipher 21:51, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

I vote for the Stryker art. As far as I know, that's the closest Wreckage has to a picture like Bumblebee or Frenzy have at the top of their page. (You know, the white packround and the CGI-model type). 71.62.192.242 22:25, 30 March 2008 (UTC)Crosshairs-1

You mean the unused, inaccurate one that only sorta resembles what Wreckage actually looks like? No. --M Sipher 03:14, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

It's the best CGI we've got. I'm putting it on. 71.62.192.242 11:12, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Crosshairs-1

No, you're not. It wasn't used, and it doesn't look like Wreckage, making it completely useless and unfitting as a main image for the page. The last attempted to put it as the main image was reverted, and if you do it, it'll be reverted too. No-one's saying that the video game image is a particularly *good* one, but there's not much in the way of options for art that's actually of the character. - Chris McFeely 11:56, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm shrinking the picture again. Don't know why Sipher displayed it so huge. --FFN 16:51, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

This will get old real fast... 71.62.192.242 20:13, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Crosshairs-1

I've got a quick fix fer ya - do it again and you'll get a ban. - Chris McFeely 20:18, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

You are not allowed to ban someone over a matter of opinon. If you could, I would have banned those idiots who keep on putting a Cyber Slammers image at the top of the Movie Brawl page. Let me state my reasoning for what I am doing here:

  • The game image is blurry, and does not give a good impression of a body of any kind, or a face.
  • The "Stryker image looks SO much cooler.
  • The "Stryker" image also fits Wreckage's persona: Cold, and distant. But hat game image looks realcold and distant, doesn't it?
  • The Stryker image gives us at least some idea of what Wreckage would have looked like in the movie.

All in all, this makes sense to me, so I am changing it back again. If you want, feel free to explain to me why you can ban me, and why that game image is superior. 71.62.192.242 20:35, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Crosshairs-1

The Stryker image was unused, and it is NOT OF WRECKAGE. It's concept art that merely inspired what ultimately became Wreckage, and it's not representative of the character, and is entirely inappropriate. Just because it "looks cool" doesn't mean it should be the main page. Also, regardless of any of this, as Rosicrucian has helpfully pointed out to me, you've already been banned, and you're trying to evade your ban by not logging in. Unsurprisingly, that's a bannable offense. See ya! - Chris McFeely 20:40, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
I am amused that if staff could ban people over opinions, he said he would have banned people who keep putting Cyber Slammer Brawl's art on Movie Brawl's page, which would mean banning pretty much most of the regular contributors and the admin staff. --FFN 21:50, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

I think Crosshairs-1 is kind of immature (remember why he was banned in the first place?) but he has a point here. That game image is just dumb-even an image of the toy would work better.G1MA 00:55, 18 April 2008 (UTC)G1MA

Risk

[edit]

Is there a picture of the Stryker Risk gamepiece anywhere? Google/Flckr were not helpful (but then, the piece is tiny so it's hard to tell.) -150.253.91.192 18:11, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Flight of the Bumblebee

[edit]

Is this section of the article needed? Or can we delete it? Proconix 22:29, 13 May 2008 (UTC)Proconix

Um... why would we delete it? Did the game not actually exist? -- Repowers 22:31, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

It did but Bumblbee, Brawl and Barricade's pages don't even mention it. It just seems to me its a way to fill up the page. But whatever. I doesn't really matter in the long run does it? Proconix 22:37, 13 May 2008 (UTC)Proconix

Well, then their pages SHOULD mention it. Just because other pages are missing content, we don't delete valid content from pages that have it. --M Sipher 23:11, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Alliance 2 scanning a green truck

[edit]

He clearly tries to scan a green truck on page 13 of Alliance #2, but is interrupted, gaining the color but not the form of the truck. 68.61.240.172 22:27, 25 August 2009 (EDT) Shouldn't the ROTF Blurdeon toy be listed in his toys section? It was repurposed as him. 68.61.240.172 22:29, 25 August 2009 (EDT)
