Template talk:Caption happy
I'm of the opinion that this template should be reworded to not be ONLY about captions. We often get people who decide all they're going to do is add quips to the end of paragraphs or "humorous" links in the middle of them, or filling holes where actual information needs to go with "jokes"... all without adding actual content. Wookieepedia may have a billion variations on a single template for every conceivable possibility... but that's one area we need not emulate them in. One catch-all "humor bastard" template should do it (though I will miss the "Action Bastard" reference). --M Sipher 14:25, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Variant for humor removal?
[edit]I'm not sure if the Caption Bastard notice really fits for people who *remove* humor instead of trying to add it, and I couldn't find a template that fit that purpose. Any thoughts about adding a new one? - Cattleprod 12:41, 8 September 2009 (EDT)
- Broadening the scope of the existing template works too, thanks. - Cattleprod 14:56, 8 September 2009 (EDT)
If we rework this template
[edit]
We should really change the image to Runabout and Runamuck defacing the Statue of Liberty. Because SERIOUSLY. Hooper_X 22:25, 1 October 2009 (EDT)

- That being said, I think we should use a slightly different panel from the issue - the right-facing art will look really strange opening up onto the infobox like that. I'll have to dig my copy of the issue out and see what other panels look good. Hooper_X 08:14, 2 October 2009 (EDT)

Image size
[edit]Can someone with administrative powers please edit the image size so it fits in the template box? -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 01:42, 11 April 2019 (EDT)
Name
[edit]Perhaps it's time we moved this to a less inflammatory name? More than once, users have taken its usage as a personal attack because of the use of the word "bastard", and it might be better served if we changed it to something less likely to distract from its original purpose (i.e. warning people not to add/change captions without contributing). I'd personally suggest something like TooManyCaptions or CaptionHappy. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 18:48, 27 June 2020 (EDT)
