Template talk:Disambig3.5

Personally, I'm surprised we didn't implement this sooner. Wikipedia has had an analogue for years.--RosicrucianTalk 11:17, 16 July 2009 (EDT)

I guess until Shattered Glass and Movie/ROTF, it never seemed that important, as opposed to just linking to the disambig3? Most of the time, even if we have characters or concepts with the same name in the same continuity family, they're still from separate continuities (or otherwise not that confusingly connected), and exceptions are rare.
Could come in handy for those rare exceptions, though, now that I think about it. Nightstick, I'm looking at you.
I kind of wish I knew how to do "for loops" in wikicode so you could repeat the "disambig2" part of this as necessary (just to further help eliminate some cases of disambig stacking), but this ought to be good enough for now. --Jeysie 11:32, 16 July 2009 (EDT)
While I can appreciate the utility of making it more expandable, we really probably shouldn't be disambiguating further than <most prominent example X> and <disambiguation page Y>. Otherwise it just gets cluttered. This seems pretty much ideal as-is.--RosicrucianTalk 11:34, 16 July 2009 (EDT)
Thanks Jeysie! I know there was a couple places I'd run into where I needed a template like this, but I could never figure out how to format it. (Turns out I was over thinking it.) This is perfect. -Derik 12:33, 16 July 2009 (EDT)
