Unicron's Symbol

So, why are we using the crummy Dreamwave Unicron symbol as our default? The Blendtron / Herald symbol is not only much cooler, but it's actually been used in both toys (Overcharge) and fiction (Kiss Players). That's gotta trump one guidebook. --Jimsorenson 17:38, 9 August 2009 (EDT)

OK, so..we have Unicron's own faction and Unicron (faction), which really should be linking to Heralds of Unicron, but Overcharge is the only Unicron-allied guy with the Unicron faction link. Are the other ones linking to Unicron on purpose or should they be linking to Heralds of Unicron too? -Mazenoise 16:14, 11 August 2009 (EDT)

Live-action

I think we should use movie-style symbols for movie characters. Unfortunately the symbols we have aren't well suited for that purpose. Are there any pictures of the symbols as they appear on the toys? Maybe in dark gray or black? I don't think I've ever seen any live-action red and purple insignias anywhere but on the wiki. - Starfield 17:11, 6 February 2010 (EST)

How to make a new one?

Based on a short discussion at Talk:Transformers: Cybertron (franchise), I want to make a template using Earth's Cyber Planet Key symbol, which would like to Earth. How do I do that?

(Said template is intended exclusively for Cybertron characters descended from those who arrived on Earth on the Atlantis, not everyone with an Earth Key.) --Fortress Minimus 16:00, 19 August 2010 (EDT)

You'll want to edit Template:Factions/icons. Copy an entry, say Speed Planet, and then make the appropriate changes for the faction name, icon image, and page to link to. Of course, you'll need to upload an image of the Earth Cyber Planet Key symbol if we don't already have one. Prime Predacon icons

I've uploaded a selection of icons: cropped and original size, white and transparent background. These have a flat color compared to the existing jpg, which has pretty bad artifacts to it. Skywatch logo doesn't work

ROTF Constructicons

Has anyone thought about making a faction symbol for the ROTF Constructicons (or the "Devastator logo" as some call it) based off of the Studio Series packaging? I would do it myself if I knew how to, but I'm not familiar enough with the programs used to make the logos. I guess in a way, this is me requesting someone to please possibly make one lol.

They're not a faction and that logo is toy packaging branding for their combining gimmick, not anything in-universe, so it would not be added. --M Sipher (talk) 16:52, 5 November 2020 (EST)
