Three Wise Ones
- The Three Wise Ones are beings from the Japanese cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Three Wise Ones (三賢人 San Kenjin) are a mysterious trio of animal sages that crashed onto planet Beast a long time ago.<ref>Hero Special 12: Laser Beasts states it was "around 10,000 years ago" (約1万年前), while the catalog states "100,000,000 years ago" (1億年前). Hero Special also goes on to explain that the beginning of the Laser Beast-Beastformer war takes place in Year 20014 of the Beast calendar, with Year 001 being the creation of the Laser Beasts, but whether the length of a Beast year corresponds to the Gregorian year isn't clear.</ref> Then, Beast was barren, hostile, and lifeless and so the Three Wise Ones retreated underground. There, they created the powerful Head Hunter weapons to create an underground empire and populated the empire with the newly created Laser Beast race. The Beastformers, an offshoot of the Laser Beasts, recognize the Three Wise Ones as gods.
Each of the Three Wise Ones represent the elements that the Beastformers and Laser Beasts possess. The Wise One of Water (水の賢人 Mizu no Kenjin) is a fish, the Wise One of Fire (火の賢人 Hi no Kenjin) is a lion, and the Wise One of Wood (木の賢人 Ki no Kenjin) is a rhinoceros beetle. Alternatively, they are known as Deities (神 Kami) of their respective elements.
The Three Wise Ones' power is crystallized in six gemstones: two Water Gems, two Fire Gems, and two Wood Gems, each pair made up of one Gem of Stillness and one Gem of Motion. The Gems of Stillness can hamper rainfall, heat and plant growth, respectively, while the Gems of Motion accelerate them.

The Three Wise Ones were Beast People, inhabitants of the Blue Planet in the universe that preceded the G1 World. They attended to Primacron as he monologued about attaining the Zodiac to become god of the next universe. Super Megatron comic 2 They were still with Primacron when he confronted Primus about him bringing forth Angolmois Energy from the future to their time. God Neptune comic 1 They were caught by surprise as the Blue Planet rumbled in preparation for transforming into Primacron's Neo Primus. Finale Prelude

Somehow surviving into the next universe, the Three Wise Ones crash-landed on Beast and quickly discovered that they could not survive due to the planet's incredible temperature. Immediately, they located a cave in which they could survive and chose to live underground. Using their incredible knowledge, they created three machines capable of unfathomable destruction, which they dubbed "Head Hunters". They used the Hunters as terraforming machines to build a vast subterranean empire, but, fearing the destructive power of the Hunters, had all three units separated and hidden across the globe. Later, they developed a new kind of lifeform that would protect the planet once they were gone, the Laser Beast, Legend of the Three Wise Ones Laser Beasts catalog by merging machines with regular animals. They eventually vanished and were presumed to have died, having left their power behind within six gemstones—three Gems of Motion and three Gems of Stillness, one of each corresponding to an element. In 2038 when the Monsterbots sacrificed themselves for the Beastformers in Galvatron II's invasion of Beast, the Three Wise Ones were so impressed that they revealed their true forms as the gems and praised the Monsterbots. To aid in the salvation of Beast, they transformed into robotic forms that could combine with the Monsterbots, The Road to Legends' Revival Chapter 3 reviving them and granting them Getmaster powers. Galvatron defeated Doublecross and the Wise One of Fire was reverted to his gem state. Toys
[edit]Power of the Primes
[edit]
- Micronus (Prime Master, 2017)
- TakaraTomy ID number: PP-01
- TakaraTomy release date: May 25, 2018
- Accessories: Autobot Cloudburst decoy armor, gatling gun
- Known designers: John Warden (Hasbro){{#if: |, {{{2}}}}}
- Power of the Primes Micronus is a Prime Master with Cloudburst decoy armor, visually based on the original Pretender's inner robot and shell.
- This toy has identical features to the other Prime Masters in the line. The decoy armor has a weapon piece which can fold out to create a weapon mode, or detach and be held in the armor's 3 mm-compatible hand. The Titan Master-like robot can store inside the decoy armor or ride Legends Class figures in vehicle mode, and is fully compatible with toys from the previous Titans Return line. The "Power Swap" gimmick means its spark form can plug onto any decoy armor's weapon form (which has a 5 mm post to be held by larger figures), Deluxe Class figures' chest armor, Voyager Class figures' bucklers, Leader Class figures' Matrix (in place of their Matrix core), combiners' torsos (in place of their Enigma of Combination), or the Scepter of Sparks. With the power of your imagination, this bestows the Prime Master's unique power on the larger figure.
- Micronus was repurposed as the Wise One of Fire by Legends fiction, in which he became a head on the Doublecross transtector.
- Throne of the Primes (Leader Class, 2018)
- TakaraTomy ID number: PP-43
- TakaraTomy release date: January 26, 2019
- The Power of the Primes "Throne of the Primes" set is a San Diego Comic-Con 2018-exclusive multipack containing Evolution Optimal Optimus with four Prime Masters: "Prima Prime", Nexus Prime, Amaglamous Prime, and "The Thirteenth".
- "Prima Prime" is a retool of the Solus Prime/Octopunch inner robot with a new Prime Master sigil/backpack (seemingly inspired by the previous Protoform Optimus Prime repurposing and Covenant of Primus design's chest), while Nexus Prime is a retool of the Alchemist Prime/Submarauder inner robot, again with a new sigil/backpack.
- In the Legends fiction, Prima was repurposed as the Wise One of Water and became a head on the Grotusque transtector, while Nexus was repurposed as the Wise One of Wood and became a head on the Repugnus transtector.
Notes
[edit]- There is a bit of discrepancy in the visual depictions of the Three Wise Ones... within the same source material. The first image of them in Hero Special 12 is the elaborate line-art shown at the top of this article. These designs were obviously a bit much for the people making the photo comics, thus the much simpler and vaguer modded toys shown in those: a kind-of fox-thing, a kind-of badger-thing, and a hooded being that's impossible to tell what critter it's supposed to be, all draped in body-obscuring robes. This visual clash would later be retconned away in the Legends manga, depicting the robed "toy" designs as their original bodies, and the art designs being their ascended, god-like forms.
