Toy Fair 2011, hosted in New York City from February 13–16, boasts "over 25,000 attendees, 345,500 square feet of exhibit space, 100,000 products with over 7,000 never before seen in the world, 1200+ exhibitors, [and] 1000 global media representatives."
MediaWiki was invited to Hasbro's 2011 Collector-Fan Media Day at The Times Center on Saturday, February 12, and wiki contributors David Willis and Matt Karpowich attended. Following a presentation starting at 1 p.m., fan representatives were allowed into Hasbro's product showroom.

Optimus Prime and his trailer are parked on the street outside the showroom. Later, he'd get a parking ticket.

This Optimus Prime statue is here every year. He shoots you if you bring food or drink into the showroom.

This is the room where the slideshow presentations were held. First Star Wars, then Marvel, then G.I. Joe, then Transformers.

The wall facing the entrance to the downstairs showroom displayed the logos of all of Hasbro's featured brands.

Transformers had the largest showroom area of all of Hasbro's brands, nestled into an interior room created from the walls of the other brands' areas.

Notes
[edit]- The presenters for the Transformers brand team included design director Michelino Paolino and Greg Lombardo and Jerry Jivoin of marketing. Ex-Transformers team member Vickie Stratford attended as the design director of the Star Wars team.
- For the first time ever, employees of TakaraTomy attended the Collector-Fan Media Day. Singled out was Transformers Hall of Fame member Hideaki Yoke. Also present was Hironori Kobayashi.
- Mike Vogel and Jeff Kline of The Hub/Transformers: Prime were also in attendance, and participated in an interview session with Greg Lombardo. They reaffirmed that Jeff Kline is very old.
