Differences from the movie

Megatron is said to be Optimus Prime's brother.
It is said that Transformers first met humankind million of years ago instead of 17000 BC.
"Demolisher" is formed from pieces of machinery lying all over the ground.
Optimus defeats "Demolisher" by lifting and throwing him with one strong arm, though he executes him the same way as the movie.
In the appliancebot scene, it is mentioned that all the machinery as well as knives and forks in Sam's kitchen are brought to life by the AllSpark fragment.
After getting attacked by the appliancebots, Sam runs upstairs and THEN jumps off the window.
Ravage makes hundreds of bots to get into the special military room that houses the other AllSpark fragments, but it is not mentioned if those small bots formed into Reedman.
Sam leaves the party immediately after Alice touches his face.
Besides pouring yellow liquid, which also happens in the movie, Bumblebee tries annoying Alice by constantly stopping and starting over and over again while she was inside his alt mode.
Only Ravage is mentioned to be involved in resurrecting Megatron with the AllSpark shard in the Laurentian Abyss.
The AllSpark fragment in Mikaela's place is put inside a bag on a table instead of a safe.
Alice's tongue wraps around Sam until he couldn't move instead of wrapping around his throat.
Mikaela throws a table at Alice instead of the box Wheelie was inside of.
The Decepticon that captures the car Sam, Mikaela and Leo were in to drop at an abandoned factory is described as a Decepticon plane, instead of the helicopter Grindor.
Ironhide and Ratchet arrive before Optimus is killed by Megatron, but they are still too late to save him.
The Decepticon attack on the world is done by Decepticons firing big balls of black metal described as missiles. It is not specified if these misiles are Decepticons in their Transition form.
Alongside Paris, the missiles mentioned above hit at least New York City and London as well.
When Jetfire teleports Sam, Mikaela, Leo and Simmons to Egypt, they look around and see a few dry old trees, which do not appear to be in the actual movie scene.
Jetfire points at the location of Dagger's Tip himself.
Lennox himself pushes Galloway out of the plane.
There was already an existing small hole in Petra from which the Tomb of the Primes was visible instead of one being caused from the fight between The Twins.
The Matrix of Leadership is described as a small, black metal box. As it reforms from dust, it becomes shiny.
While Sam and co. are on their way to the location of Optimus's corpse a few kilometers away from Petra, some Decepticons arrive as dark planes with strange symbols in them and start firing missiles.
Devastator only activates his Vortex Grinder as he is forming, and then goes to climb up the Great Pyramid of Giza.
Instead of a rail gun, Simmons requests a nearby battleship to fire a missile at Devastator. The narration refers to what hit Devastator as multiple balls of orange fire.
Instead of Rampage holding Sam's parents hostage, they are held by multiple unnamed Decepticons. Bumblebee also isn't alone when he is trying to help Sam, as there are other Autobots participating in the fight as well.
After Optimus is resurrected, it is Megatron that quickly steals the Matrix from him and not The Fallen.
Instead of The Fallen, Megatron says "Now this planet will be dark forever!".
Instead of Jolt, Jetfire himself gives Optimus his powers by touching Optimus' head. As Jetfire's body goes limp from the power transfer, his body parts start attaching themselves to Optimus on their own.
Instead of flying to the pyramid, Optimus teleports to it.
Optimus picks up and throws Megatron through a wall, instead of blasting him through one.
Starscream joins the fight against the powered-up Optimus. Optimus deals with him by turning quickly and using his feet to push Starscream to the ground.
Optimus kills Fallen by pushing an unspecified long metal bar through his body.
The Star Harvester is not said to be destroyed.

Notes

This book is a Level 2 of a series of educational books named Scholastic ELT Secondary Readers.
After coming back to life, Megatron teleports to Cybertron to meet The Fallen.
The place where Sam meets the Dynasty of Primes is referred to as another place, another planet.
Megatron and Starscream explicitly escape to Cybertron.
