Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (Music from the Motion Picture) is an album featuring the original instrumental music composed by Jongnic Bontemps for the Bumblebee sequel Rise of the Beasts. The album covers just over an hour of the film's score, and features the return of franchise composer Steve Jablonsky in both writing and production capacities. Additionally, Vince DiCola's theme for Unicron is featured in both the film and album, marking the first time a live-action Transformers score has referenced material from the animated movie.

Expanded Edition
[edit]
Quietly listed at the beginning of November, Music On Vinyl announced an expanded edition of the score album that released on December 15, 2023, limited to 500 copies worldwide. Also included is a four-page booklet containing liner notes from director Steven Caple Jr., Paramount Music exec Randy Spendlove, and the composer himself, plus musician and technical credits. This release is pressed on opaque dark green vinyl and each copy is individually numbered on the rear cover's bottom left corner. Another 500-piece run was announced for April 2024, this time on red and purple; album contents remain the same.
Aside from being the first Transformers score on vinyl since the animated movie, five new cues were added to the album program, adding an additional thirteen minutes to the runtime. These tracks are currently vinyl-exclusive.
- 27. Calling All Autobots (0:56) — Optimus Prime sees the Transwarp Key has been activated and pages Bumblebee, Arcee, and Mirage (plus a very startled Noah).
- 28. Airazor (2:45) — After escaping Ellis Island, Airazor formally introduces herself and tells her tale to the Autobots.
- 29. The Silos<ref name="Unicron"/> (4:12) — Nightbird and Battletrap watch Scourge get tortured by Unicron after acquiring only one half of the key.
- 30. Finding the Hatch (2:06) — Noah & Elena venture into Cusco to find the hidden temple in search of the key's other half.
- 31. Meet the Maximals (3:15) — Optimus Primal, Cheetor, and Rhinox intercept Noah, Elena and the Autobots as tensions rise... until Airazor calms everyone down and explains the situation.
Notes
[edit]
- In a first for the franchise, "The Maximals" was released to music streaming apps as a single on June 2, a week before both the film and the album.
- Kris Díaz's name is erroneously spelled as "Chris" on the album.
- Bontemps reportedly recorded a ten-minute demo with a forty-piece orchestra on his own dime in 2021 in hopes of landing the job!<ref>{{#if: Bontemps actively sought the job and took nothing for granted. He wrote 10 minutes of music he thought might be appropriate for a “Transformers” epic and recorded it with a 40-piece orchestra at his own expense. - During the recording of the score, Bontemps revealed on his Instagram account that his mentor Steve Jablonsky would be returning to the franchise in some way. It was later revealed that Jablonsky had assisted in writing some cues for the film, receiving three track credits in addition to an overall producer credit in the movie proper.<ref>{{#if: So I met Steve, it was a wonderful conversation and he agreed to come on board and mentor... - The Apple Music version of the album features some nifty animated album art, with the logo disappearing/reappearing, moving birds/clouds, shining optics, and Unicron glowing.
- Like many other Transformers films, the score's tracks are slightly out of order from the film. "A Long Time Ago" appears first (Although it is similar to The Maximals and Unicron/Scourge), then "More Than Meets The Eye", "Who Are You", then "Autobots Enter". The rest of the score is in its proper order.
