One of the UK letters page addresses this- it says the reaosn Cyclonus was killed by having his head torn off while other voluntary and involuntary beheading victims survived was because he had absolutely no time to prepare. Even a half-second warning to engage the disengage the his systems might've saved his life... but withotu that- it was like ripping out the drive train on a running engine- the entire motor seized-- kaput. If you took the car out of gear THEN ripped out the drive train... it insulated the engine from the sudden trauma. (The analogy is mine, but the statement about safeties and disengaging comes from the UK letterspage.) -Derik 05:34, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
