:Unfortunately, Skyburst and his drones have several design flaws and quality control issues. Skyburst suffers from the problem of the spring-loaded, automorphing drones being unable to provide solid, stable feet to balance the combined mode, and the general shape of some of the drones make it hard to connect most of them to the torso, this essentially is the reverse problem of [[Bombshock (PCC) |Bombshock]]. The F-15 Eagle drone also apears to have the intention to have the wings automotph, but there appears to be a tab missing to transform it that way and stay like that.

[edit]
  • Stakeout with Protectobots (Commander Class, 2010)
  • Accessories: "APC Drone", "Fighter Jet Drone", "Helicopter Drone", "Mobile Artillery Drone"
  • Known designers: Eric Siebenaler (Hasbro), Andrew Scribner (deco artist)
Released in the third wave of Power Core Combiners Commander Class packs, Stakeout is a redeco of Smolder, a Scout-sized robot who transforms into a white rescue truck. He can swap between his normal head and a larger head so that he can also serve as a torso for his Protectobots or any other Power Core Combiner drone-limbs. Stakeout's chestplate has a flip-up Mini-Con Powerlinx peg that allows him to use any Mini-Con as chest armor, though he doesn't come with one.

  • Power Core Combiners Value Pack (Value Pack, 2011)
Stakeout was also made available as part of a Walmart-exclusive Black Friday "Value Pack", combining a 5-pack team with a Commander 2-pack via packaging tape and a couple of stickers, for a grand total of ten dollars ($20 less than normal retail for such a pairing).
Stakeout has been found with the Heavytread/Groundspike, Huffer/Caliburst, Searchlight/Backwind and Skyhammer/Airlift 2-packs attached.

Notes

[edit]
  • Due to the vague continuity of the Power Core Combiners line, it's possible that he is the same character as Generation 1 Stakeout. Or he could just be another guy who's kind of like him. It happens. Axiom Nexus News Editor referenced this as "Conflicting evidence suggests that he might instead hail from the Tyran or the Primax cluster."
