My equilibrium... destabilized! RWAAAAH!

The Neutron Assault Rifle distorts the equilibrium of its target by blasting it with sonic booms. Once disoriented, the attacker can close in with a melee attack.

Toys

[edit]

Generations

[edit]
  • Starscream (Deluxe Class, 2012)
Part of the third wave of 2012-onwards Generations Deluxe Class toys, Fall of Cybertron Starscream comes with two spinning, triple-barreled "assault cannons" which can combine to form a larger hand-held weapon that is geared to spin its two triple-barrels together, and resembles the Neutron assault rifle from Fall of Cybertron. Each of the weapon halves features two 5mm posts, as well as a peg-hole on their hollow sides, while the combined form features another peg-hole at the top, but makes the peg-holes on the hollow sides inaccessible.
In an undocumented feature, Starscream's tail-fin is attached via a 5mm post on its underside, and can be detached to reveal three additional peg-holes, with two of these peg-holes being just the right distance to accommodate the two pegs found on the underside of the combined assault cannons/rifle, with the tail-fin pegging on the rifle's top peg-hole. This allows the weapon to mount on top of the vehicle mode, and store on his back in robot mode.

Available in the TakaraTomy Generations line, Fall of Cybertron Skywarp is a redeco of Fall of Cybertron Starscream. He still comes with the cannons/Neutron assault rifle, this time in purple.

  • Thundercracker (Deluxe Class, 2013)
Part of the sixth wave of 2012-onwards Generations Deluxe Class toys, Thrilling 30 Thundercracker is a redeco of Generations: Fall of Cybertron Starscream. He still comes with the cannons/Neutron assault rifle, this time in blue.
Despite using a mold and deco matching Thundercracker's appearance in War for Cybertron, this toy technically represents G1 Thundercracker, thanks to his IDW pack-in fiction (a copy of Spotlight: Thundercracker). Consequently, the toy is listed in the former's page as a repurposing.

  • Metroplex (Titan Class, 2013)
    • 01 OF 30
A pair of small, non-transforming figures of Thundercracker in both in robot and vehicle modes were included with an exclusive version of Metroplex at San Diego Comic-Con 2013. They're based on the sculpt of the Generations Deluxe figure, and thus are depicted with the Neutron Assault Rife. Both figures are cast entirely in purple plastic, not unlike the Decoy figures.

  • Metroplex (Titan Class, 2013)
    • 05 OF 30
Another version of Metroplex, this one available at Anime-Comic-Game Hong Kong, included redecos of the San Diego Comic Con figures of Thundercracker's robot and vehicle forms, this time in silver.

  • Skywarp (Deluxe Class, 2014)
Part of the eighth wave of 2012-onwards Generations Deluxe Class toys, Thrilling 30 Skywarp is another redeco of Generations: Fall of Cybertron Starscream which still includes with the cannons/Neutron assault rifle, now cast in purple and gray plastic.

  • Decepticon Rebel Infiltrator Starscream (2014)

If you build it, they will play.

It can swap out with the removable right arms of Barricade and other figures from the Gamer Edition series, emulating the way characters' arms in-game transformed into their weapons.
  • Gamer Edition Decepticon Soldier (Deluxe Class, 2024)
  • Gamer Edition Thundercracker (Voyager Class, 2025)
