The name or term "Nemesis Prime" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Nemesis Prime (disambiguation).
Nemesis Prime is a Decepticon from the Age of Extinction portion of the live-action film continuity family.
Everything flash and guile / And nothing underneath / Except a small black heart that no one sees but me

Nemesis Prime (alternatively known as the Optimus Prime clone) is a clone of Optimus Prime, constructed by a secretive human organization. They didn't do a brilliant job, though, leaving Nemesis Prime an uncontrollable creature, twisted in body and mind. Now the enraged, decaying machine pursues a single objective: exacting revenge on those who created him. His sole companion is Nemesis Grimlock, a powerful being who has sworn loyalty to Nemesis Prime.

Nemesis Prime was created by Megatron with the help of kidnapped KSI scientists. He was seemingly defeated by Optimus and his NEST allies, only to reappear not long after to fight again, damaged, but still eager to fight. Movie Advanced Series

[edit]
The one, the worst of all your enemies
Nemesis Prime is a Transformers Expo-exclusive redeco of the Evasion Mode Optimus Prime toy in black, silver, and teal. Nemesis uses the mold's faceplated headsculpt.
Nemesis transforms into a flat-nosed cab similar to Optimus Prime's design while in hiding during Age of Extinction. Nemesis comes with a "Nemesis Blaster" cannon modeled after Megatron's shotgun from Dark of the Moon, which can either be held in his hand or attached to the top of the truck, and can be mounted under the shoulders for storage.
Nemesis Prime was re-released at Wonder Festival 2018.

Lost Age Series

[edit]
Pretending you're a friend to me
  • Battle Attack Nemesis Prime (Power Battler, 2014)
  • Japanese ID number: LA13
A redeco of the Power Battler Optimus Prime toy, Battle Attack Nemesis Prime transforms into a Western Star 5700 truck. In robot mode, he features a 'Blade Attack' gimmick which, bizarrely, sees Prime's regular arms fold back whilst a second, sword-wielding pair flips over his head.

Kre-O

[edit]
That would be a pretty sweet-looking truck, we gotta admit.
  • Decepticon Replicator (2014)
  • Set number: A8601
  • Pieces: 77
  • Kreons: Bumblebee, Nemesis Prime, Optimus Prime, "Scientist", Stinger
  • Accessories: Optimus rifle
Available only in the "Decepticon Replicator" set, this version of Nemesis Prime —a rare non-movie character in the Kre-O Age of Extinction line— is based on the Optimus Prime that comes in the same set. He has the same helmet, gun and smokestacks, the same chest and leg tampographs (just with the outlines in gray instead of black, red flames instead of blue, and gunmetal instead of silver), but a different, snarling face with pupil-less eyes. He even has his own display base, showing a readout of himself on a huge blue holo-screen.
The set also includes Kreons of Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Stinger, and a micro-Kreon of a human "Scientist".
This set was not made available in US or Canadian markets, seemingly only hitting stores in Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, and China.

Q-Transformers

[edit]
Say that we'll be nemeses
  • ID number: QT-18
Q-Transformers Nemesis Prime is a redeco QT-01 Optimus Prime, transforming into a super deformed Western Star 4900 SB truck. He comes with a code for unlocking Nemesis Prime as a playable character in the Q-Transformers: Mystery of Convoy Returns game.

Bumblebee

[edit]

Devising a master plan
  • Accessories: Ion Blaster
Released as a 7net exclusive, Bumblebee "Legendary Nemesis Prime" is a black redeco of the Leader-sized Legendary Optimus Prime. His head can also switch into either maskless or masked faces. His included Ion Blaster can be pegged on his 5 mm compatible hands and can store on his back, and his truck mode can tow MP-10 Convoy's trailer.
This mold was later retooled into Synergenex Evangelion Prime Unit-01.

Masterpiece Movie Series

[edit]

Like, y'know. Nya.
  • Nemesis Prime (2023)

He comes with a pearly-black redeco of Optimus's "Ion Blaster" used in the Cybertron sequences in the film, which can be folded and stored behind his cab, and a redeco of the Matrix of Leadership, now with a slimy green core. Nemesis Prime can also tow the trailer included with MP-44 Convoy.
Nemesis Prime was treated as a TakaraTomy-exclusive figure, imported via Hasbro Pulse and other online retailers instead of being sold at Target like contemporary Masterpiece Movie figures.

[edit]
  • Movie: Dark of the Moon
  • ID number: MMTFM-11
A Wonder Festival 2015 exclusive, Prime 1 Studio Premium Bust Nemesis Prime is a redeco and slight retool of the Dark of the Moon Optimus Prime bust. It is a highly detailed sculpture of his head and torso attached to a base and features light-up LED eyes. The base's original Autobot symbol was replaced by a Decepticon one for this release.
This bust's head is interchangeable with the first Museum Masterline Optimus Prime full-body statue, so it's entirely possible to put Nemesis' head on Optimus' body.
This bust was limited to only 100 pieces.

  • Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Nemesis Prime (2023)
  • Accessories: Arm Cannon, Axe, 2 Arm Blades, Transwarp Key, 2 figure stands, 2 energy impact effects
Released as part of Blokees' Classic Class model kit line, this Nemesis Prime is a redeco of the same line's Optimus, and he's a 4.5-inch tall non-transforming Deluxe-sized Gunpla-style model kit with some pre-painted parts. As with every Classic Class kit, Nemesis also features a torso frame that lights up upon shaking (or at least lightly tap some areas on the torso), causing the eyes and the chest windows to glow for a limited time. In addition to the two-piece display stand with energy impact effects, Nemesis also comes with the same Arm Cannon Optimus used, and new additions such as the Arm Blades and a Transwarp Key.

Notes

[edit]
  • Nemesis Prime's appearance in Shadows Rising is basically a recolor of Optimus' appearance in Dark of the Moon in a color scheme based off the Age of Extinction toys, but with green optics, matching the other clones in the game.
  • His jetpack featured in a brief segment of Shadows Rising is almost identical to the Omega Combat Armor Optimus Prime sports in Dark of the Moon.
