Overview
[edit]An anthology series in the vein of the original IDW continuity's Spotlight series, Galaxies features a variety of loosely connected story arcs that weave in and out of the main Transformers ongoing, telling stories set elsewhere in outer space during the buildup to the Great War.
- "Constructicons Rising"
In the aftermath of the War of the Threefold Spark, Termagax encouraged the potential of six promising young students, the Constructicons, even teaching them the art of combination thanks to the mysterious Enigma... but the danger this new form represented led Nominus Prime to exile them to the barren world of Mayalx. Many years later, a chance run-in with the Insecticons, similarly cast out by Nominus, leads them down a darker path...
- "Wannabee"
Cliffjumper is tired of always being mistaken for his more popular lookalike Bumblebee—but that's just why ambassador Deathsaurus wants him, in the hopes of fooling the superstitious natives of the planet Probat. But not all is at it seems on Probat, and Cliffjumper is caught in the middle when Deathsaurus discovers a valuable secret...
- "Gauging the Truth"
Gauge has escaped a ravaged Cybertron with the rest of the Reversionists, but her wavering faith in their grand vision leads her down a different path—one that puts her on a collision course with her forgotten mentors Arcee and Greenlight and pits her against Reversionist leader Heretech in a battle for Cybertron's soul.
- "Storm Horizon"
A veteran of the War of the Threefold Spark, Ultra Magnus has retired from active military service and now captains a research vessel. But when his old friend Alpha Trion goes missing in the Black Sphere, Magnus must return to duty and uncover the truth behind Spinister's ghoulish black market operation if he's to find the old sage.
