Robby's feelings for his new crush interfere with the Maltos' mission to get an Ember-shard from Fairmaestro.

The Maltos gets invited to a carnival by it's ringleader Fairmaster who'll cause trouble to them.
Synopsis
Swindle walks through a fairground at night. Arriving at the "Tent of Curiosities", he stomps on a nearby high striker, ringing the bell so Fairmaestro appears in a dramatic puff of smoke. Fairmaestro offers up a scatter blaster while Swindle brings out a "genuine Cybertronian flamethrower". Fairmaestro takes it and immediately turns it on Swindle, pronouncing it a counterfeit when it merely emits a cloud of smoke. Even the addition of a "slightly used" missile launcher fails to win Swindle the deal, however when he spies the Emberstone shard Fairmaestro has displayed, Swindle offers up a veritable arsenal of weapons. This just results in Fairmaestro realizing the item's value and resolving to keep it. Swindle attempts to follow him into the tent, only to be thrown back by a massive electric shock.

Sometime later, the fairground is open and Twitch, Thrash, Mo and Robby are visiting. Twitch is outraged when the sideshow contest she's trying to win turns out to be possibly rigged, so they move on. Thrash is interested in the Agent Schloder dunk tank feature, while Mo is keen on the Cosmic Thunder UFO ride, though the line for it is long. The group moves towards the Tent of Curiosities, though Robby's attention is attracted by a funnel cake stand, and he heads for that instead. He and a nearby girl mistakenly grab the same plate, having ordered exactly the same combination. They strike up a conversation, and when Robby accidentally drops his food, she offers to share hers. Emotions stir in Robby, and elsewhere Mo, Twitch and Thrash all suddenly convulse as the emotion leaks over the link they have. Twitch checks on Robby and assumes it's a result of the funnel cake he's eating.

The trio head into the Tent of Curiosities and begin checking out the exhibits. Twitch soon spots the Emberstone shard, but while they discuss it, they're hit by more overflow emotions from Robby outside. When the discussion seems to be going nowhere, Thrash grabs the shard and makes a dive for the exit, only for Fairmaestro to appear in front of him. A chase through the fairground ensues, with the Maltos attempting to use the various rides and sideshows to evade Fairmaestro until finally the villain slaps restraining bolts on Twitch and Thrash, and seals Mo in a force field. He decides to add the two Terrans to his collection. Elsewhere, Robby and his new friend spot that the Cosmic Thunder line has thinned out, and head over to go on the ride. His attempts to find out her name are thwarted by the PA system's announcements.

Mo armors up and breaks out of the force field. She's soon able to free Twitch and Thrash. They're immediately confronted by Fairmaestro but demand he turn over the shard. Another chase ensues, resulting in the Fairmaestro pushing past Robby and his friend to get on the Cosmic Thunder ride. Robby and his friend have to escape the side of the ride as it takes off. Mo, Twitch and Thrash catch up with the pair and quickly realize the emotions they've been experiencing are the result of a crush Robby's developed. Said emotions intensify, and a column of light manifests around the Maltos, causing Twitch and Thrash to merge into a hybrid vehicle mode.

Synopsis
The kids take to the skies to hunt for Fairmaestro, and he soon appears, still at the controls of Cosmic Thunder, and opens fire on them. The kids find a way to fire back. Their blasts knock dirt from the side of the ride, revealing an Autobot insignia. Spotting a restraining bolt, they blast it, allowing Cosmos to eject Fairmaestro and transform to robot mode. Cosmos does, to his credit, catch Fairmaestro and dump him safely in the dunk tank, where Agent Schloder arrests the villain, though Fairmaestro successfully escapes with the help of a smoke bomb. The Maltos introduce themselves to Cosmos and fill him in on recent events, Twitch again tries to win at balloon darts but is thwarted by the imminent closure of the fairground, and Robby tracks down his new friend to get her name — Isobel or Izzy for short. The resulting surge of emotion from the encounter leaves the rest of the Maltos reeling.

Robby's feelings for his new crush interfere with the Maltos' mission to get an Ember-shard from Fairmaestro.

Synopsis

[edit]
