Unknown to the Laser Beasts, the surface of Beast was already inhabited: by the Beastformers! The Laser Beasts and the Beastformers then clashed in a massive battle, deciding which Beast lifeform would rule the surface of Planet Beast!

Finding the surface inhabited by the Beastformers, the cold-hearted Tigerburn immediately decided to wipe their cousins out and take Beast for their own. The Laser Beasts (レーザービースト Rēzā Bīsuto) are a formidable race of animals that lived in the depths of the planet Beast created by the mighty Three Wise Ones. Using lenses located in their chest, the Laser Beast could absorb artificial solar energy and power itself.

The Laser Beasts make up an empire ruled by the Royal Tiger Family, with Tigerburn as the current Emperor.
