The live-action film series is an umbrella term that refers to series of theatrical feature films directed by Michael Bay beginning in 2007, including the vast amount of ancillary fiction created for it.

At this time (Jan-14-09) a second film in the series, titled Revenge of the Fallen, is slated for release on June 24, 2009. A third film is tentatively planned [2] but its production is presumably contingent on the performance of the second film and availability of the principals involved.
