Dave Edwards, better known as "Zobovor", is a longtime member of the Transformers fandom, primarily active on alt.toys.transformers. He worked with Rhino Entertainment on their release of the Generation 1 cartoon on DVD in 2002 and is given "special thanks" in the credits.
Edwards was the first fan known to document Gold Plastic Syndrome,[1] though the term appears to have been coined by another fan, "Sky Shadow".[2] His site, started in 1998, includes the first online cataloging of errors and other oddities in The Transformers. He regards the occasional coloring errors in that cartoon as representing background characters, and has kitbashed many of them as toys.
