Cyberverse is the current encompassing name for the "micro play" play pattern starting with the Dark of the Moon. It replaces the Legends Class (the size class has been absorbed into Cyberverse under the new name "Legion Class") and, to a lesser extent, the Scout Class (replaced by the slightly smaller Cyberverse Commander Class). The Cyberverse toys are in something close to relative scale with each other. Cyberverse figures are designed to interact with various transforming battle vehicles and playsets, creating a unified "world" children (or childish adults) can collect. While most are brand new molds, some figures are retools/redecoes of legends releases, but the vast majority are tooled to accommodate 3mm weapon pegs and/or C joints. The entire gimmick of a small, interchangeable toy line with transformable, connectible bases seem to call back to the old Micromaster play pattern.
The Cyberverse play pattern will continue with Transformers: Prime toys.
The working name for this line was "Megaverse" (with the MechTech line originally having been "Cybertech"), which could be seen on receipts for toys purchased at retailers, in the name of some exclusives on retailer web sites, and on the shipping cases for the products themselves. The reason for the change is unknown.
