In 1994, Hasbro UK and Hasbro International followed Hasbro's lead and released the Generation 2 line.

1994

The overwhelming bulk of this year's product was made up of repackaged re-releases of 1993 product from both the European and American toylines, the latter being "new" to most European markets, and newly-developed toys released concurrently with the American market.

This year's releases started the trend of the European toys having extremely condensed on-package bios, as some specs only had the figure's name, function and motto. Many quotes were changed from their previous releases as well.

Heroics

These versions of the Autobot Cars have altered decos (to varying degrees) and new weapons usable in both robot and vehicle modes.

Piranha

The European-market release of Rotor Force. Each toy has a wind-up "engine" that, when activated, spins the detachable "rotor" disc at high speeds, sending the disc flying to some pretty impressive heights.

Illuminators

The European-market release of Laser Rods. They feature clear plastic swords and a small red LED light that can peg into the bottom of the fist holding the sword to give the illusion that it is a "laser sword". In vehicle mode, the light serves to illuminate a transparent engine block

Sparkabots

Blaze

The only "new" product exclusive to the European 1994 Generation 2 line, these are redecos of the Generation 1 Sparkabots and Firecons. These toys fire "cold" sparks when rolled along in vehicle/beast mode.

Obliterators

Colossus

Repackaged re-releases of the 1993 "Generation 1" Obliterators, only with new character names for some reason we have yet to discern. Each massive vehicle's back end separates from the main robot portion and converts to a missile-launching battle platform.

Lightformers / Trakkons

Ironfist

Repackaged re-releases of the 1993 "Generation 1" Lightformers and Trakkons. Each toy comes with a massive artillery platform usable in both modes. These platforms use a combination of light-piping and gears to simulate two beams of laser fire striking your target if you look through their targeting scopes (even though Fearswoop is the only one with a double-barreled blaster).

Repackaged re-releases of the 1993 "Generation 1" Aquaspeeders and Stormtroopers. Each toy comes with a pump-fed water-shooting cannon usable in both modes. The Aquaspeeders were used to make the Color Changers in the American Generation 2 toyline.

Axelerators / Skyscorchers

Hotrider

Repackaged re-releases of the 1993 "Generation 1" Axelerators and Skyscorchers. Each robot uses a hand-held cannon made of part of their vehicle mode; the Axelerators use their chromed engine-blocks, while the Skyscorchers use their under-slung radar assemblies. The Axelerators continue to use transparent-maroon plastic for their windshields and robot eyes, as opposed to the US versions' smoky-gray transparent plastic.
