Spacewarp is a Decepticon from the Unicron Trilogy continuity family (via the 2003 Universe toyline).
She assures us. The faceplate. Comes. Off.

It's not that Spacewarp tries to be arrogant... it's just that she's really good. Really quite good at what she does, and she won't let you forget it. A gifted flier with a space-capable alternate mode, Spacewarp fancies herself as a swashbuckling adventurer. There's nowhere in the galaxy that she won't go, no planet or culture too weird for her to explore. Spacewarp's inseparable Mini-Con companion Foldspace keeps her company during her long voyages. More recently, she's teamed up with the Interstellar Marauders, capable of combining into the Transwarp Blaster. Her "crew" keeps her company on her lonely voyages through uncharted territory.

Although she's nominally a Decepticon, she's often found herself performing good deeds on her travels. She's admitted a grudging respect for the Autobots, once you can get past their holier-than-thou attitude and their tendency to judge Decepticons on sight.

With a cy-gar in her mouth and the power of the Transwarp Blaster on her side, there's nothing in the universe that she fears.

Fiction

Ask Vector Prime

In Aurex 006.0 Kappa, Spacewarp rescued Foldspace from the clutches of Maxa Q, thus earning his loyalty. She got her hands on the Maelstrom Exchequer on planet Sargasso, then used it as the buy-in for a high-stakes game of Triad being held on Monacus. Despite playing against such powerhouses as Initial T, Lord Delerious, Senator Feh'd of the Dominion of Mirtonia, the Blood Tyrant Gastrathrameferous III of Shi-La, Mobedyar Daggerthrust the Lesser of Vestum Minor, and Sideways, she managed to bluff her way to victory, earning the Transwarp Blaster as her prize.

With the help of Foldspace, she was able to break the Interstellar Marauders Mini-Con Team out of their stasis lock with proton energy, enabling them to once again exist as individuals. Boom Tube, Starburst, and Jump Drive pledged their loyalty to her in gratitude.

This crew went on to menace Vector Prime while he was attempting to aid Primus in warding off the dark matter spewing forth from the Unicron Singularity. Despite having no innate ability to travel through time or dimensions, she was able to lock on to Vector Prime and follow him when he attempted such maneuvers. Ask Vector Prime, 17/9/2015

Spacewarp's Log

Owing to the non-linear nature of the column, the exact chronology of Spacewarp's adventures isn't clear. We've opted to order them by the date that they were published.

While in the Moldavite system, Spacewarp worked as a mercenary. While patrolling the planet Pellucidus, she discovered a secret civilization of subterranean Moldavites inhabiting the lost world of Inner Pellucidus. She was taken hostage by Teximite Morbidius and his warband of rowdy bugboys. Before they could hang her, she was resuced by a group of Valkyries and brought back to their queen, the Autobot Chromia Spacewarp's Log,7/11/2015 Spacewarp dueled the Autobot, but wound up rescuing her. The two opted to join forces in their fight against the bugboys, deposing Teximite and brokering peace between the male and female Moldavites. Using some gurunium, the two Cybertronians escaped the inner world and returned to the surface. Spacewarp's Log,14/11/2015

On another adventure, Hourglass sent her to 31st century Earth. There, she encountered King Arthur and the Spectral Knights, who were waging war against the Inhumanoids and Darkling Lords. Although they believed her to be an enemy at first, Spacewarp and the Spectral Knights formed alliance. Using her alternate mode, she ferried Ramak and Galadria up to the moon, where they rescued the twin infants of the Lunarian Queen Mahina from the Darkling Lord Braxe. Spacewarp's Log,5/12/2015

While on the planet Regalis III, what should have been a simple trip to buy some black market power converters turned into a battle to save the galaxy, pitting Spacewarp against a crazed cult intent on opening a portal to another dimension. Spacewarp saved the day, but she had to pay full price for the converters. Spacewarp's Log,12/12/2015

On the steampunk world of Varus VI, Spacewarp found herself on the wrong end of a local mob boss. It looked like the end for her, but she was saved by Odysseus, a human hero who had attained immortality through a series of improbable adventures. Spacewarp's Log,1/17/2016

Once she ended up in Axiom Nexus, she took a job as a fill-in host for ANN's Ask Vector Prime column until such time as she could bamboozle her way off-world. Among her exploits include getting Armored Corps drunk so she could rob him.

After the Shroud wrecked dimensional travel, Axiom Nexus expedited visas for space-capable travellers like Spacewarp and she took the chance to fly off. Soon after being voted the second-best guest host of Ask Vector Prime, she agreed to report on her exploits exploring the galaxy to ANN. This was to be of great value to Axiom Nexus's stellar cartographers (and for ratings). Ask Vector Prime

Spacewarp's Log earned her loadsamoney and a safe harbour in Axiom Nexus! A series of adventures and recaps of multiverse-hopping adventures ensued, including saving Vector Prime, Scorpia, and Galaxy Shuttle one time. In the end, rescuing Galaxy Shuttle a second time led her to an ancient, dying crystalline alien called Physis, who wished to be euthanized before Parthinian Raiders could exploit it. In return for this service, she was given a brief portal in which she could return home to her own universe. Spacewarp and her Minicons debated over whether to abandon all their friends in this universe or never see their home again... Spacewarp's Log

Universe (2003)

She's built like a steakhouse but she handles like a bistro.
  • Spacewarp
Spacewarp was an unproduced Universe store exclusive, a redeco of Armada Jetfire slated to come with a redeco of the Space Mini-Con Team as well. Even though she was initially intended as a Toys"R"Us exclusive, no retail chain ultimately ended up wanting to carry her, so Spacewarp was shelved. She was among several proposed exclusives that were ultimately put into retail limbo during the waning of the Universe line.
This concept was ultimately released, albeit modified, as one of the first exclusives available for purchase to Transformers Collectors' Club members as Astrotrain, though with a redeco of the Giant Planet Mini-Con Team instead of a redeco of the Space Mini-Con Team.

Notes

  • Although it has not been made explicitly clear in fiction, the iteration of Spacewarp mentioned in the 17/9/2015 entry of Ask Vector Prime appears to be the same iteration who guest hosts Ask Vector Prime as Spacewarp's Log.
