This article is about the Star Trek organization. For the human government from the Unicron Trilogy, see Earth Federation.

The Federation is an interstellar union that includes humans, Andorians, Vulcans, and various other species. They don't get along with their neighbors in the Klingon Empire.

Certain Federation vessels, such as USS Enterprise, belong to an organization known as Starfleet.
