Road Police is an Autobot Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.
"NYPD" means I will "Nock Yo' Punkass Down!"

Road Police (ロードポリス Rōdo Porisu, aka Road-Police) is the warm-sparked commander of the Turbo Team, and also something of a handgun aficionado. He collects human personal firearms, even though they're way too small for him to use them himself, which is frustrating. He is a quick draw and an expert marksman, at least at close range. Circuit gets on his nerves.

He's a bad cop on the loose!

Shortly after the Turbo Team's arrival on Earth, Road Police was captured by Decepticons and infected with the mind changer virus, which he later spread to Circuit, Neo-Wheel, Glide, and Discharge. The virus turned him into a Decepticon, and he went about causing random destruction with his teammates. Sireen tricked Road Police and the others into combining with him to form Sixturbo, then restored them all to normal with an antivirus program. Enter the Urban Disaster Relief Specialists!!

Later, he managed to catch Missile Run by surprise, but unfortunately the Decepticon had brought the rest of his team along and it ended up becoming a fight between Sixturbo and Sixwing. Enter the Decepticon Sixwing!!

Later still, Road Police and Glide's investigation of a mysterious Decepticon attack led to the discovery of Decepticon Sixbuilder. Sixbuilder the Ill-Fated Warrior!?

Operation Combination

Years later, Road Police and the rest of the Six-team Micromasters joined Guard City and the Road Corps in defending Earth from the forces of the Decepticon High Regent Scrash. Operation Combination

  • Sixturbo (Micromaster Sixteam, 1992)
    • Japanese ID number: TF-03
The original version of Road Police was available only as part of a Sixturbo gift set in Japan. Aside from the Acura NSX police car mode, Road Police can form any part of the similar-build Six-Teams (Sixturbo, Sixbuilder, or Sixwing), but he is awkward when used as anything but the chest, his nominal placement. The original Six-Teams are considered among the more difficult Japanese Generation 1 pieces to find.
Road Police uses the same mold as Universe Micromaster Prowl.

In 2002, the entire Sixturbo team was re-released as part of The Transformers: Micromaster, in individual boxes with a number visible to show which mold was inside each box. For this release, all of the decals from the original version were replaced with paint applications, though Road Police's robot-mode deco changed considerably, plus he lost the more complicated "POLICE" deco on his trunk.

Siege "Road-Police" is a redeco of Stakeout, transforming from robot to vaguely-Cybertronian-y police car... with inexplicable English on his trunk rather than Cybertronian script. He can also combine with his pack-in teammate Wheel Blaze to form the "Powershot Plasma Cannon" blaster-weapon for larger figures to wield. As a part of the C.O.M.B.A.T. System, their weapon mode can be attached to any toy with a 5 mm post-hole. "Fire Blasts" can also be attached to their barrels.
He was only available as part of a Target exclusive ten-pack of Micromasters, which includes the Autobots Ground Shaker, Irontread, Overair, Ricon, and Wheel Blaze, and the Decepticons Cratermaker, Fireline, Nightflight, and Slyhopper.

Notes

  • Road Police, like all of the six-team Micromasters, had no individual bio information whatsoever until his Micromaster release a decade after his original Operation Combination release.
  • Road Police has details on his chest that make him appear to be wearing a necktie.
