T-Wrecks is a Maximal Dinobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.
-n-Effect

Former attack specialist T-Wrecks was stationed in sector 17 of the Mirtonian constellation, but returned to Cybertron just in time to be reformatted by the Oracle, and become leader of the new Dinobots. He is a staunch defender of the Maximal cause, and his prowess on the battlefield has led his troops to nickname him "Big Rex".

Let's give these soupcans hell!

The Dinobots were sent to the planet Arkus by the Oracle in order to awaken the "sleeping giant" for a mysterious purpose. Departure However, the mission was a fool's errand, arranged by the Quintessons, and designed to destroy the Dinobots. The planet held prisoner one of their most dangerous creations, the energy-draining Trans-Organic creature known as the Dweller. Betrayal

T-Wrecks, Triceradon, Terranotron, and Dinotron survived their encounter with the Dweller and managed to get off-planet. After making their way to Spaceport CSSB-16, Disclosure they traded in their Autobot shuttle for "meaner" and "more conspicuous" transportation. They found a stowaway aboard their new ship: Reptron, who they recruited to their merry band. The Wreckers: Finale Part 1 Shortly afterwards, they met up with Devcon and agreed to join him on his quest to hunt down Cyclonus, Disclosure blasting off as soon as their ship was put into working order by the newest member of the Dinobots. The Wreckers: Finale Part 1

The group wound up back on Cybertron to help fend off a Quintesson invasion heralded by Cryotek. As T-Wrecks and his troops cleaved through innumerable Sharkticons, the Dinobot leader was shocked to witness Triceradon vanish before him in a flash of light. He assumed his subordinate's disappearance was the result of a new Quintesson weapon, unaware that Triceradon had been snatched up by an interdimensional force... Despite this setback, the Quintessons were eventually repelled from Cybertron. Wreckers: Finale Part II

Beast Wars: Uprising

One hundred years after the Vehicon Apocalypse, T-Wrecks was captain of the Rusty Mace, which came to the aid of the human ship The Problem of Infinities when they were attacked by the Shi-Lai. Afterward, the human captain Una said they owed him. T-Wrecks immediately called in the favor, since his own ship, already pretty old, had taken a pounding.

When the ship sent one of their crewmembers over to help, T-Wrecks met her on arrival, before his ship's engineer Rapticon took over. The Inexorable March

Beast Machines

Look, ma! No hands!
  • T-Wrecks (Ultra Class, 2000)
    • Accessories: 2 spring-launched blade-missiles, water squirter
Beast Machines T-Wrecks is a redeco of the Ultra Class Beast Wars Predacon Megatron. He transforms into a Tyrannosaurus rex, with a water-spraying gimmick inside his dino-mode mouth. In robot mode, his left arm has a lunging/snapping claw gimmick, plus he has a pair of hip-mounted spring-loaded missile launchers. He retains the "mutant head" gimmick as well: a pair of bat-like "wings" on his helmet that swing forward to cover his face as a "battle mask" (a feature which, unlike the original Megatron's, was actually depicted in fiction).

Generations

Easily repurposed into Collaborative Diablo from Primal Rage
  • Maximal T-Wrecks (Leader Class, May 24, 2021)
    • ID number: WFC-K37
Released to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Beast Wars, Kingdom "Maximal T-Wrecks" is a redeco of Megatron (Beast), transforming into a Jurassic Park-inspired Tyrannosaurus rex mode. T-Wrecks does not come with any fire blast effects, although ones taken from other figures can be attached inside his dinosaur mode mouth. While he features a left hand underneath the tail weapon in robot mode, the tail weapon cannot be detached from his forearm. Disappointingly for some, T-Wrecks's gray chest and legs are left mostly unpainted.
Most of the beast mode shell is cast in a rubbery PVC plastic material, likely to enhance the texture of the dinosaur mode as well as assist the part-clashing transformation. The beast mode itself is well articulated, especially with thigh pieces on a slider to ensure vertical hip-movement, as well as spring-loaded pieces around his neck to prevent the sculpt from breaking up too much while posing.
All indicators suggest that T-Wrecks was meant to have a retooled head when compared to Megatron, as the packaging and instruction renders depict a new robot face sculpt with exposed teeth (much like the original toy above). However, all specimens of T-Wrecks have the "standard" Megatron face sculpt, except now with extra paint running partially across the lips, where exposed teeth should have been. The alternate face sculpt definitely exists as a factory asset, as a single known specimen of Megatron with the alternate face was found at normal retail.[1]
T-Wrecks was released as a Toyworld exclusive in Australia and New Zealand; both were also the first to receive T-Wrecks, even before any official unveiling had been made.[2] T-Wrecks would ultimately get an official pre-order on Hasbro Pulse UK about three weeks later.
Due to the exclusivity of the figure, no Golden Disk destiny cards are included.

Notes

  • Several hints in his Beast Machines toy bio suggest T-Wrecks may be the same character as the Generation 1 Dinobot Grimlock in a new body, such as being a "former attack specialist" (his Beast Wars function) and some references to Generation 2. However, he was not portrayed as such in his fictional appearances.
